Perhaps one of the greatest challenges that Spain has to face as of the recent times is anchored on their economy. As in any case of a country that reels from recession and massive unemployment not to mention decreased financial augmentation from the EU, Spain is currently finding it hard to recover from the financial crisis that rocked the world in 2007-08. In one of my conversation with the local townsfolk, I was able to get a grip of how problematic the situation has become. In Madrid, I was able to talk to a local coffee shop owner , Enrique Concha who narrated to me how the government has failed to intensify efforts at improving the economy. He said that it was so hard to secure loans nowadays owing to the stringent policies being imposed by banks. People also do not spend as much as they do leading to the bankruptcy of many businesses. In fact, he mentioned that his other coffee shop in Seville has already closed because of fund issues. According to him, times are getting harder and harder now. ( E.
