Initial Steps
Focus Groups with Residents and Employers
Develop a sampling framework, by residential,
demographic, and employee types
Finalize the survey instruments, including
attitudinal questions
Household Survey
Targeted towards the multi-
family, condominium, and
townhouses
Will be used to understand
residential circulation
Transit Survey
Three or four MARTA stations
Demographics of MARTA users in
the area, including trip ends,
purposes, and modes
Will be conducted by the
consultant, with the direct
assistance of MARTA surveying
personnel
Establishment Survey
Area-wide internet survey
Targeted sub-area focus, such as
a group of office buildings, or
hospitals
Focus will be in collecting data
on the travel patterns of
employees in the area, and
especially the benefit of a
circulator system

funding will be available to conduct Sub-Area Surveys
for other Activity Centers in the Region
