Become a Friendly Visiting Volunteer!

Give an adult with a disability who resides in long term care something to look forward to! Meet a new person, share a hobby,

play a game or two or give back to your community. We need Friendly Visiting volunteers to match up with

a resident in long term care who lives in Vulcan. Visit times are flexible - we can accommodate your schedule!

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Calgary) is offering free public stargazing at the Trek Center in Vulcan on

Friday, October 09th, 2015 at 19:30. Short indoor presentation on “The Demon Star Algol”and then we’ll check the heavens on

our 11” telescope outside. Opportunity to snap your own smartphone photos of the Moon, planets with more plus views pictures from other participants.

Refreshments served and all welcome for no charge. Held the second Friday monthly at 19:30.
