INTRODUCTION

• Personal development can be defined differently by everyone. As we all have a different perception on “self” and how we can improve our “self”. we define personal development as the process of developing self-awareness, enhancing identity, developing wisdom and knowledge, and the continuous improvement of personal goals and accomplishments.

• Allan Gray Orbis defines personal development as “The process of continually improving ones ability at personal mastery.”

DESIRED STATE

• Able to talk and act confidently regardless of what the situation or who we taking to. Not afraid to voice out our ideas, opinions and willing to try new things and take some risks. Always look for new opportunities rather than walk the common path.

• Able to be assertive and take control of situations. Able to press hard for our recommendation, ideas and decision to be accepted by others when we feel it is really good. To proactively take the lead in as many situations as possible. When there is a group decision to be made, be the first to give recommendations. Not to agree with everything others say. Able to say no firmly.

WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE

• With confidence, we can blaze new opportunities for our self. We are able to command more respect and others will be able to see our worth. We will dare to try new things and go against the herd, which gives us more opportunities for success and makes our life more interesting as well.

• By being able to control our temper, we will not say things that we will regret later on. we will not hurt our loved ones and friends as before. In addition, we will cease to waste energy venting out our anger. Rather the energy can be used in a positive way.

GOALS

• Able to command confidence whenever we want, regardless of the situation. Not be affected by setbacks

• Have the habit of taking the lead in most situations and being assertive, while at the same time keeping some balance and not being extreme.

• Keep calm no matter what happens. Not lose our temper at all, but have a quite calmness within.

CONCLUSION

• In planning and organizing our personal development, we will use our thinking faculty in making the decisions. By the time we have completed the course and succeeded, our ability to make wise decisions is enhanced as well. As us gain more skills and knowledge, our decision-making ability becomes quicker and sharper.

• Having a personal development plan is a wise investment in terms of money and time. No matter which angle we will analyze it, self-growth does not have liabilities. Should there be any, they are minor compared to the benefits we will gain from it. In today’s critical time, having a development plan is a step recommended to everyone. It makes us gain an edge in life.
