RPO prices shoot up in India... Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd Rubber Process Oil (Aromatic Extract) prices shoot up. Chennai Petroluem Corporation Ltd Rubber Process Oil( Aromatic Extract Price) shoots up considerably. It has been hiked substantially by Rs 2.56 & 2.80 per Kg on their basic price for light and heavy grade, taxes extra. Now the current price is Rs 22. 85 & 24.93 per Kg Plus taxes as applicable. As Crude Oil Prices is flirting near USD 100 per barrel and prices are on import parity basis. In the Domestic market prices for the imported grade are available in the price range of Rs 4450 - 4550 per barrel of 200 Kg packed in good quality barrels. Demand is expected to shoot up.

India exports large base oil cargoes last month... Base Oil Export from India is encouraging. Exports of Base Oil during the month of Sept 07 is approximately 7000 MT from State PSU's BPCL/HPCL. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has exported approximately 1915 MT of MAKBase 500 Group II plus base oil to UAE AT THE Rate of Rs 31.42 per liter Ex Mumbai Port, While HPCL product has been through exporter is 2386 MT of Bright Stock and 2686 MT of SN -500 Group I Base Stock which was sold at the price of Rs 32.09 and 27.34 per liter Ex Mumbai Port.

India imports Fuel Oil cargoes from Iran, SIngapore, Indonesia and UAE... Iran, Singapore, Indonesia and UAE Exports of Fuel and Furnace Oil shows modest growth. Approximately 54212 MT of Furnace Oil is procured at Indian Ports at Chennai, Mangalore, Kandla, Mundra, Chennai, Tuticorin and Mumbai in the price range of USD 330 - 450 per MT CIF India from UAE, Singapore, Indonesia and UAE in the VESSEL MT Fair Trader depending on quality. At Tuticorin it is being procured by DCW Ltd.

LPG cargoes from US, Malaysia, Kuwait, Saudi and Iran arrive into India... LPG IMPORTS at Indian Ports marginal up from US, Malaysia, Kuwait, Saudi, and Iran. Approximately, 199226 MT of LPG was sourced at Indian Port Mumbai ,Mangalore, Chennai, Kolkatta, JNPT, Tuticorin and Kandla during the last month. It is sourced in the region of USD 610 - 681 per MT from Saudi Arabia,UK, UAE, Iran, Bahraian and Italy. At Tuticorin it is being sourced by Bharat Petroluem Corporation Ltd, Caltex Gas India Pvt. Ltd and Super Auto Forge Ltd,

India imports Slack wax cargoes from Iran and Indonesia... Slack Wax imports (Heavy & Light ) from Iran and Indonesia remains status quo. Approximately 2601 MT of Slack Wax is procured from Iran and Indonesia in the range of USD 360 - 418 per MT CIF Indian, Kolkatta, Tuticorin, Chennai and Tughlakabad, JNPT as per customs data during the last month depending on oil content. In the Domestic market it is it is being sold in the region of Rs 38 39.50 per Kg packed in drums incl. of CVD 16 %. At Tuticorin it is being procured by Shree Meenakshi Chemicals, Abhisek Industries.

Iran and Egypt export large Residue Wax cargoes.. Petromine - Iran, Egypt exports of Residue Wax is steady. Approximately 3081 of Residue Wax is procured during last month at Indian Ports Kolkatta, Tughlakabad, Chennai, JNPT and Tuticorin in the range of USD 325 - 360 per MT CIF Indian Port as per customs data. Product is procured from Iran and Egypt Domestic Residue Wax is quoted at Rs 29.50 - 30 /Kg inclusive 16 % CVD and VAT as applicable packed in second hand quality drums. It has oil content in the range of 50 85 %. Imports have started to look up due to seasonal demand. At Tuticorin it is being procured by Tirupati Chemical, Shyam Petrochem Industries and Raj Salts and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.

Bitumen producers in Iran and India increase prices... Iran has announced higher bitumen export prices. Bulk bitumen is currently being offered around USD 330 340 PMT and drummed bitumen export prices have moved up to USD 390 410 PMT. The supply situation for the export market is reportedly improving as the cold season sets in and domestic bitumen demand is slowing down. However, very few cargoes have been sold at the newly announced prices. Indian refiners have increased domestic bitumen prices once again by around USD 15 20 PMT (Rs. 600 to Rs. 800 PMT) for all grades and packing of bitumen. The current ex refinery bulk bitumen price offered by Bharat Petroleum on the West Coast is at Rs. 19640 PMT and drummed bitumen for Grade 60/70 is priced at Rs. 21840 PMT. Demand has firmed up in the country and with the persistent supply problems for exports in Iran, domestic refiners have decided to announce higher prices.

China and Japan bitumen trade data for September 2007... China imported 317089 MT of bitumen in September 2007. Most of the cargoes have been imported from regional suppliers like Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. Very small amounts of bitumen have also been imported from Saudi Arabia. The largest importers in China, during the month of September include Shell (Tianjin) Petrochemical (8064 MT), Shanghai Jianpu Import & Export (8244 MT), China Ocean International Trade Corp. (9300 MT), Esso (Zhejiang) Bitumen (9419 MT), Qingdao Luhuitong Business & Trade (9901 MT), Shell (Tianjin) Petrochemical (10066 MT), Sinopec International (10345 MT), Hubei Guochuang High Technology Material Inc. (11227 MT), Rizhao Tianhui Trade (14799 MT) and Zhejiang Baoying Materials Group (22065 MT). Japan exported 4116 MT of bitumen in September 2007 and so far the cumulative export from January to September 2007 has been 168753 MT. During the year, Japan exported the most bitumen in the month of May when 38525 MT of bitumen got exported mostly to China.
