CAT ELIGIBILITY The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Candidates seeking admission to Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirappalli should have appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Eligibility; Applicants should hold a minimum of Bachelor's Degree (under 10+2+3 or 4 pattern) recognized by UGC in any field including Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering or Social Sciences. XIME Admission

Application form can be filled and sent online via XIME website www.xime.org through the link apply

online for PGDM. XIME prefers and encourages all candidates to apply online. However, in case of any

difficulty in applying online theapplication form can be downloaded from the website. Application fee in

such cases can be remitted by way of a Demand Draft, or by using the online payment link available on

the website. The DD must be favouring ‘XIME Bangalore’ and payable at Bangalore. While sending the

downloaded applications, fee payment details must be attached. Application forms and programme

brochures may also be obtained from XIME Bangalore, XIME Kochi and IMS Learning centers on

payment of the prescribed application fee.

Only candidates who score at least 70 percentile in any of the exams, XAT/CAT/CMAT/MAT are eligible for

admission. Others need not apply. XAT/CAT/CMAT/MAT conducted during the academic year only will be

considered.

Integrated M.Sc. / M.Tech - Ph.D Programme

At HRI, IISER-Pune, ICTS-TIFR, SNBNCBS, NCRA-TIFR, and TIFR-TCIS candidates with a

Bachelor's degree will also be considered for the integrated M.Sc., Ph.D. programme in

Physics.

At IMSc, graduates with Bachelor’s degree in science/ mathematics/ /statistics /computer

science/information technology/Engineering will also be considered for admission in Physics

and in Theoretical Computer Science, as part of an integrated Ph.D. programme. All

candidates successful in the course work of this programme shall be awarded an M.Sc.

degree.

Ph.D. Programme-Physics:

M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. in related disciplines.

M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Physics / Applied Mathematics / Optics and Photonics /

Instrumentation / Electronics will also be considered at IIA.

B.E. or B.Tech. will also be considered at IISc, IMSc, ICTS-TIFR, IUCAA, JNCASR, NCRA-

TIFR, TIFR-TCIS, RRI, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram and

Talented final year B.Sc. and first year M.Sc. in Physics / Electronics / Astronomy / Applied

Mathematics students may also apply to be pre-selected for research scholarship at IUCAA.

MSc in Physics, Engineering Physics or Applied Physics will also be considered atIPR. At

TIFR, only B.Tech Eng. Phys. and M.Sc. Physics are eligible.

JAM Admission; TEST for M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D.

Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech., and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programmes at INDIAN INSTITUTES OF TECHNOLOGY The candidates, who have either appeared or are due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2016 and have qualified in JAM 2016, can apply for provisional admission subject to the condition that: (a) all parts of their final examination shall be completed by the date of registration of the Admitting Institute, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the Admitting Institute, will be submitted by September .

3) ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

a) M.Sc. (Computer Science) / M.Sc. (Information Technology)

A pass in HSC (Academic), in the first appearance itself, with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as

three of the four subjects of study prescribed under Part - III or its equivalent with a minimum average

mark of 50 % for OC, 45 % for BC, BC (Muslim), 40 % for MBC & DNC and SC/SCA/ST category. The

average mark refers to the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

b) M.Sc. (Electronic Media)

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2 Curriculum of any group

under Part - III or any other Examination of any University (or) authority approved by Anna University,

as equivalent there to.

4) AGE

The candidate should not have completed 21 years of age as on 01.07.2016. For candidates belonging

to SC/SCA/ST, the age is relaxable by 3 years.

Candidates appeared for the Qualifying Examination in March / April 2016 may also apply for admission.
