LRA = Locked Rotor Amps
MCA = Minimum Circuit Ampacity
MOCP = Maximum Overcurrent Protection
RLA = Rated Load Amps
1. In compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
for multimotor and combination load equipment (refer to NEC
Articles 430 and 440), the overcurrent protective device for the
unit shall be Power Supply fuse. The CGA (Canadian Gas
Association) units may be fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Minimum wire size is based on 60 C copper wire. If other than
60 C wire is used, or if length exceeds wire length in table,
determine size from NEC.

NOTE: For horizontal applications deduct field−supplied air filter pressure drop and wet coil pressure drop to obtain external static pressure available for ducting. For downflowapplications see Wet Coil Air Delivery Table for available static including wet coil, 1−in. (25 mm) filter and economizer.Shaded areas indicate speed/static combinations that are not permitted for dehumidification speed.

CONTROLSOperating sequenceWhen power is supplied to unit, the transformer (TRAN) isenergized.On units with crankcase heater, heater is also energized.Cooling — With the thermostat in the cooling position, thethermostat makes circuit “R” to “O”. This energizes the reversingvalve solenoid (RVS) and places the unit in standby conditionfor cooling.As the space temperature rises, the thermostat closes circuit“R” to “Y”. A circuit is made to contactor (C), starting thecompressor (COMP) and outdoor−fan motor (OFM). Circuit “R”to “G” is made at the same time and starts the indoor−fan motor(IFM).When the thermostat is satisfied, contacts open, deenergizing C.The COMP and OFM stop, and the IFM stops after thepreselected time delay.On the loss of the thermostat call for cooling, 24 V is removedfrom both the “Y1/Y” and “G” terminals (provided the fan switchis in the “AUTO” position) de−energizing the compressorcontactor and opening the contacts supplying power tocompressor/OFM. After a 90−second delay, the IFM shuts off. Ifthe thermostat fan selector switch is in the “ON” position, theIFM will run continuously.
Heating — On a call for heat, thermostat makes circuits “R” to“Y” and “R” to “G”.A circuit is made to C, starting COMP and OFM. Circuit “R” to“G” also is completed, energizing IFR and starting IFM after theselected time delay.Should room temperature continue to fall, circuit “R” to “W” ismade through second−stage thermostat. If optional electric heatpackage is used, a relay is energized, bringing on first bank ofsupplemental electric heat. When thermostat is satisfied,contacts open, deenergizing contactor and relay; motors andheaters deenergize.
