ROLE OF THE BLGU’sAdopt local ordinance to declare forest protected

area in the barangay

Create Bgy Forest Protection and Management Council (BFPMC)

Select Barangay Forest Guards to be deputized by DENR

Enforce laws in the declared forest protected areas

Allocate regular annual budget for the protection of the forest area


ROLE OF THE MLGU’sSB supports/endorses the declared forest

MENRO, PLGU and CENRO monitor implementation of the plans

MENRO/PENRO LGU facilitate replication in all barangays in all municipalities
