Our metal brush guides are manufactured usingpremium extruded (seamless) brass. Phoenix Electricextruded (seamless) brass provides superior brush rideand heat dissipation and eliminates the excessive carbondust retention and brush chatter associated with otherlesser products. All Phoenix Electric brush holders arebroached to exacting standards which allows us to holdextremely tight tolerances providing for augmentedbrush life.

Continuous research and development into new moldingmaterials has enabled Phoenix Electric to offer anunparalleled variety of plastic materials from which tochoose. All Phoenix Electric brush holders are molded inUL, CSA, ETL and CE approved and recognized ClassF and Class H materials. and should be considered as a starting point. Wealready have the tooling and capability to manufacturethousands of unique styles and designs, many of which,because of space limitations, are not listed in thiscatalog. Section V Internal Brush Ring Assemblies

Phoenix Electric internal brush ring assemblies are ideallysuited for applications where economic or designconsiderations warrant an internal brush holder assembly.

Phoenix Electric has the capability of designing and manufacturing a virtually unlimited variety of fully assembled internal brush ring assemblies, including brushcards, rocker arm assemblies and brush plates in differentdesigns and materials.

Phoenix Electric internal brush ring assemblies can bemanufactured in a vast array of phenolic, thermoset orthermoplastic Class F and Class H materials, dependingupon your particular requirements.

Our designs utilize extruded brass or aluminum brushguides or stampings, or can be all plastic. Our brush guides

can be used alone or as part of an integrated brush ringassembly. Our brass and aluminum brush guides arebroached and deburred to exacting tolerances and can beanodized or plated in a variety of materials.

Our internal brush ring assemblies can accommodate a wide variety of springs including torsion, leaf and constant force.

Phoenix Electric internal brush rings can come fully assembled complete with phenolic or plastic rings orcards, extruded or stamped brush guides, springs, wirelead attachments and copper connectors.

Phoenix Electric Screw Machine Cartridge Brush Holders are ideally suited for all high current and heavy duty applications.

Phoenix Electric Screw Machine Cartridge Brush Holderscan be either overmolded in a high temperature plastic orinsulated with phenolic tubing.

All Phoenix Electric Screw Machine Brush Holders arebroached and deburred to exacting tolerances.

We mold our Screw Machine Brush Holders in a vastvariety of cutting edge high temperature, high impact andhigh dielectric UL, CSA, ETL & CE recognized andapproved thermoset and thermoplastic molding materials.

Our experienced engineers are always available to discussthe optimal materials for your particular application.

Shoulders, steps, cutouts and other special features can beeither molded or machined.

Millingwhen the electrical connection has to be made from the top of the brush shunt.

To further customize your brush holder to meet your specific requirements, Phoenix Electric can efficiently and economically perform numerous secondary operations, including, but not limited to, the following:

Flatsfor location or anti-rotation.

Swagingan operation which prevents the brush springfrom interfering with the commutator as the brush wears out; a UL requirement.
