Message from Rev. Lea

The following excerpt from the Baby Jesus Journal is a

thought-provoking illustration of how Jesus should

always be our main focus and concern.

“Having Baby Jesus with me for a couple of days made

me realize how much more emphasis we place on

‘Santa,’ ‘The Elf of the Shelf’, shopping, parties and

food than we do on Jesus. Even though Jesus is the

main center of Christmas for our family, we do spend

more time on these other things than we do worshiping

Jesus.

When we had Baby Jesus with the kids, I definitely

thought about him every second of the day – I was so

afraid the kids would lose him that I was constantly

saying ‘Where is Baby Jesus?’, ‘Do you have Baby

Jesus?’, ‘Don’t lose Baby Jesus’. I did not think about

the other minor things surrounding Christmas! My

main purpose was keeping baby Jesus in my sight! I

realized I should do this every day! What a

revelation!!!”

Kibbles & Bits Santa came!!! I was worried that I might be on

the naughty list....mom has been upset with me

for having a few accidents inside. Guess Santa

gives second chances...kinda like the way mom

talks about God's forgiveness. I hope all my

friends had a Merry Christmas! I appreciate all

the goodies and new toys! Woof! Ellie
