Our Kindy students have been learning about the people in our community who help us Last week they had a visit from our local police who spoke about the many roles that they play in our community which involves more that just enforcing law and order including finding lost and wanted people and helping with crowds in busy places There was some very interesting discussion with Constable Murphy reassuring the children he would do his best to protect them if

a giant ant came crashing through Margaret River The K3 and K4 students then had lots of fun when they

transformed their dramatic play

On Monday at MRPS we held an assembly to recognise Remembrance Day A brief introduction reminded

the students of the importance of remembering and reflecting on the sacrifice of those before us

A wreath was laid and students were invited to place any flowers they had brought Councillor Annabel

Bancroft read out the Ode of Remembrance

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them

The Last Post was played and singing of the National Anthem concluded the service

challenges set forth by learning experiences At this school we help students to become flexible thinkers who are able to

question existing thinking adapt and creatively meet the demands of the future Flexibility means being able to make

changes like meeting new friends not getting upset if there are changes and things donrsquot go your way Remember that a

in many common substances such as coffee tea cocoa chocolate cola energy drinks and bars some prescription and

over the counter medicines and other stimulants such as guarana Caffeine is the most commonly used drug in the world

bull Caffeine is particularly harmful for young children because it causes sleep problems anxiety irritability and bed

wetting
