PICOS DE EUROPA
• The Picos de Europa are a mountain range located in the north of Spain that belongs to the central part of the Cantabrian Mountains.
• Spans the Principality of Asturias, Cantabria and the province of Leon, and it highlights their heights, in many cases above 2,500 meters.
MASSIFS OF THE PICOS DE EUROPA
Western Massif or Cornión.Eastern Massif or Andara.Massif Central or Urrieles.
WESTERN MASSIF OR CORNIÓN.
• It is the largest of the three massifs and is limited by Sella and Dobra rivers west and the east Cares. Is located between Asturias and León.
MASSIF CENTRAL OR URRIELES.
• This massif is escorted by rivers Deva east and Duje west and is located between Asturias and Cantabria. Andara Massif is the least extensive of the three and also the less lavish in heights.
EASTERN MASSIF OR ÁNDARA.
• Situated between the valleys carved by rivers Cares and Duje is the Massif Central, arguably the most rugged and vertical of the Picos de Europe. Is shared by Asturias, Cantabria and León and has the greatest heights of the three massifs.
FLORA
• In the lower parts of the slopes are more lush forests, highlighting species such as oak, hazel, chestnut, maple. linden, ash, cherry or walnut. Above 500 meters the most numerous species are oak and beech, whose presence can be up to 1500 meters. Together more resistant to other species such as yew and birch. In the tops of the mountains the vegetation is scarce and limited to shrubs, mosses and some herbs.

FAUNA
• The fauna present in the Picos de Europa highlights the chamois. Their presence in the higher elevations of the solid is as spectacular as surprising.
In most accessible places there is a greater variety of species, such as roe deer, wild boar, fox, bear or wolf. In rivers, otters, dippers, kingfishers, Atlantic salmon and trout. And especially the peculiar grouse, although their presence is greater in the Cantabrian Mountains.

CABLE CAR
• Fuente Dé Cable Car is a cable car located in the Liébana, Cantabria (Spain). It connects the town of Fuente Dé and the viewpoint of The Cable.
