Time Delay SystemTime delays appear in sensor measurements, actuators and approximation of plant models.Traditional design methods either neglect the time delay in system or approximate them.It is important to represent and consider time delays in systems to achieve desired design goals.

PID ControllerIt is a feedback controller used in industrial control system applications.PID controller calculates an error value as the difference between a measured variable and desired variable.

ZIEGLER-NICHOLS METHOD

The Ziegler-Nichols design methods are the most popular methods used in process control to determine the parameters of a PID controller.The Tuning methods used are step response method and ultimate frequency method.The intersections of the tangent and the coordinate axes give the process parameters.
