Wow! April has come and gone and the end of May is fast approaching. I want to thank John Price with RW Specialties for providing a great presentation on the many options we have to take into consideration for air barriers. I also want to thank Kimberly Lynch with Bolyu Carpets for a great tabletop presentation in April.
I am very excited about the upcoming meeting this month. We are changing things up from our normal meeting room arrangement and having taller bar tables arranged to encourage more mingling and discussions between members and guests. The food will be more of a hors d'oeuvres finger food style. This meeting is going to be a great opportunity to put to use the networking lessons we learned from our March meeting with Diane Miller. If you are a Product Representative and would like to bring information (small handouts) about your company please do. We are inviting all tabletop presenters back and if they would like they can have a table to display their products yet again. We will be having raffle prizes for attendees and if your company would like to provide a few items please let Greg Gulliksen know when you RSVP for the meeting. We will also be acknowledging the two Herald R. Holding Scholarship award winners from Pikes Peak Community College and all the hard work the Pikes Peak CSI Board has done over the past year. All in all, I am anticipating a wonderful meeting to cap off a fantastic year.
Well Chapter, this is my final message to you as The Pikes Peak Chapter President. Please know that it has been a pleasure and honor to yet again serve the Chapter mem-bers in this capacity. I cannot say enough good things about the group of individuals that make up our Chapter Board. They are the ones that put in so much time and effort to make sure that we have a location with great food, an informative presentation, communication path to keep us informed and money to continue to move our Chapter forward. I could not have done anything in the past year without their support and hard work. They do all of this work and planning each month and never ask or expect any recognition for it. They do it for you the member. They know that this ever changing industry that we work in needs an organization that communicates the built environment and provides an avenue to pass along time tested knowledge to those just coming into the industry. That organization is the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute.
Thank you for your time, Shane David
