each square twice diagonally to create 12 Setting Triangles (2 will not be used).

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Pinwheel BlockDraw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the snow white shade 5” squares. Place the snow white shade 5” squares on top of the assorted print 5” squares. Sew ¼” on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the lines to make 48 Half Square Triangles. Press. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 4½”.

Referring to the block diagram for placement, sew 4 Half Square Triangles together to create the Pinwheel Block. Repeat to make 12 Pinwheel Blocks.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to the quilt photo for Pinwheel Block, Center Block, and Setting Triangle placement. Sew rows together on the diagonal to complete the center of the quilt. Add Corner Triangles. The Corner and Setting Triangles are intentionally larger in order to square up the quilt center, leaving ¼” seam allowance on all sides.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 45¾”. Top and bottom borders should be 38½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 49¾”. Top and bottom borders should be 46½”.
