1. WELD TEMPORARY TIRE STOP AT ELEV. ±-18' ON BACK SIDE OF PILING (AWAY FROM VESSELS), ON BENT PILING 1 AND ENSUING BENT PILING 2.

2. CUT EXISTING TIRE STOP FROM BENT PILING 1 AND 2. LOWER TIRE (FENDERS) BELOW BOTTOM W14X74 WALER ON TEMPORARY TIRE STOP.

STRUCTURAL NOTES:

1. FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.

2. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ENGINEER OF ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN PLANS AND FIELD

CONDITIONS. IF NECESSARY, ENGINEER SHALL RE-INSPECT ALL EXISTING STRUCTURAL

MEMBERS AND CONNECTIONS PRIOR TO CONTRACTOR MAKING ANY NEW STRUCTURAL

MODIFICATIONS.

3. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL SHALL BE ASTM A-36, Fy = 36 ksi (MIN.)

4. ALL WELDING SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWS AND SHALL BE PERFORMED

BY AWS CERTIFIED WELDERS USING E70XX RODS.

5. ALL WELDS SHALL BE INSPECTED BY AWS CERTIFIED WELDING INSPECTORS.

6. EXPOSED STEEL SURFACES SHALL BE PAINTED WITH ALOCIT 28.15 OR COAL TAR EPOXY (CTE).

7. ALL ELEVATIONS REFER TO NGVD 88 VERTICAL DATUM.

SCOPE AND SEQUENCE OF WORK OVER (2) 40'Ø BREASTING CELLS"

1. REMOVE EXISTING HORIZONTAL CYLINDER FENDERS, VERTICAL CYLINDER

FENDERS, GALVANIZED SHACKLES AND GALVANIZED CHAINS. KEEP FENDERS FOR REUSE.

DISCARD GALVANIZED SHACKLE AND CHAINS.

2. CHECK EXISTING PAD EYES (SEE SHT. S-3.4) FOR WEAR AND REPLACE AS NEEDED.

3. REMOVE AND DISCARD EXISTING ROPE GUARD ON TOP OF EACH 40'Ø BREASTING CELL.

4. USE WIRE BRUSH AND GRINDING WHEEL TO REMOVE EXISTING RUST AND DETRITUS FROM

EXPOSED AREAS OF BREASTING CELLS.

5. WELD NEW 4" x 5/8" F.B. TO EXISTING LOCATION FOR ROPE GUARD BASE. (REFER TO DETAIL

1 AND SECTION A ON THIS SHT. S-3.5).

6. WELD NEW 3"Ø SCH.160 PIPE TO 4" x 5/8" F.B. BASE PLATES.

7. PAINT AND PRIME ALL EXPOSED AREAS OF STRUCTURE FROM ELEV. -5.5' TO +5.5' WITH

ALOCIT AND +5.5' TO TOP OF BREASTING CELL WITH CTE.

8. INSTALL NEW SHACKLES AND 3/4" GALVANIZED CHAIN TO PAD EYES.

9. REINSTALL EXISTING VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL CYLINDER FENDERS IN EXISTING LOCATION.

INSTALL NEW VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL CYLINDER FENDERS IF NONE ARE PRESENT AT

LOCATION AS SHOWN IN DETAILS. REFER TO "PROFILE @ NORTH BREASTING CELL No.2 (40'Ø)"

ON SHT S-3.6 FOR REFERENCE TO No.2 BREASTING CELL FENDER INSTALLATION. REFER TO

"PROFILE @ NORTH BREASTING CELL No.3 (40'Ø) ON SHT. S-3.6 FOR REFERENCE TO No.3

BREASTING CELL FENDER INSTALLATION.

10. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE VESSEL SCHEDULES WITH INEOS PERSONNEL DAILY TO

DETERMINE WHEN DOCK IS IN SERVICE THROUGHOUT LIFE OF PROJECT. ANY TIME VESSELS

ARE EXPECTED AT BERTH, BREASTING CELLS MUST BE PROTECTED. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE

RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLING TEMPORARY FENDERS TO BREASTING CELLS DURING HOURS

OF DOCK OPERATION.

1. REMOVE EXISTING 12"x10" ROUGH TIMBERS AND 18" WOOD FILLERS THAT ARE DAMAGED ON EAST AND

WEST SIDE OF CENTRAL LOADING PLATFORM.

2. REMOVE EXISTING 1"Ø GALVANIZED CARRIAGE BOLTS THAT ARE RUSTED OR DAMAGED ON EAST AND

WEST SIDE OF CENTRAL LOADING PLATFORM.

3. INSTALL NEW 12"x10" TIMBERS AND 18" WOOD FILLERS AT SAME LOCATION AND ELEVATION WHERE

DAMAGED AND/OR MISSING TIMBERS WERE LOCATED PREVIOUSLY WITH NEW 1"Ø GALVANIZED CARRIAGE

BOLTS.

4. ALL TIMBERS, FILLERS AND CARRIAGE BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED FROM ELEVATION -1.0' TO +3.33'
