MotionsMotions• Motions can be called by tagging the word “Motion” to
any formation shift. Example: Motion Rock would send the FB to the “Rock” position. Motion Twins would send the Z to the “Twins” position next to the X.
• There are a few motion used to send players into the backfield for option purposes. Below are those Motions listed:– F, X, Y or Z Motion= Sends back to backfield to be Pitch man– F, X, Y or Z In= Sends back to Motion in Backfield and back in to
formation as a lead blocker.– F, X, Y or Z Out= Sends back in Motion and back to formation to be
pitch man.– F, X, Y, or Z Jet= Sends back in motion across formation for jet sweep– F, X, Y, or Z Over= Sends back across formation to lead block.– F, X, Y, or Z Fly= Sends back in motion to the backfield to get a reverse
or a reverse fake.
