    COMENIUS PROJECT : CHORAL MUSIC AND POETRY.

    1ST MEETING: TORIGNI-SUR-VIRE. (FRANCE)

    1-WORK SCHEDULE.

    a-Giving of gifts and Project posters to the partners.

    b-Watch the different schools and choirs presentations.

    c-Show the Comenius Project wiki to the partners and explain how it works.

    d-Revise the general questionnaire and work on the definitive one.

    e-Date the next meetings and decide on the number of students in each

    meeting.

    f-Materials: a) level.

    b) length.

    c) format.

    g-Extra materials. Each of the poets could also be studied with some extra

    materials as: films, webquests..

    h- Final concert in Lorca: a) Decide if we are going to prepare 1 or 2

    poems.

    b) Possibility of accompanying the song with

    movement, visual presentation etc for the

    poems.

    2-AGREEMENTS.

    1-General questionnaire.

    It was decided that it should be as interactive as possible and about

    different cultural aspects of the four countries like history, geography,music, literature The Spanish team will take the questions developed by

    the group and create the questionnaire. The rest of the countries shouldsend to the Spanish team, as soon as possible, a picture of:

    1- A representative monument.2-A typical dish.

    3-Some traditional customs.4-A national poet.

    Finally, the other countries will send the Spanish team their national

    anthem and a masterpiece of a national composer.

    Once this step is finished, the Spanish team will upload it on the project

    wiki.

    2-Dates.

    The next meetings will be:

    2nd meeting Krosno (Poland) 12th / 15th of April 2011.

    3rd meeting..Kilbirnie (Scotland) 3rd / 7th November 2011

    4th meeting..Lorca (Spain) Last week of March/ Beginning of

    April 2012.

    The number of students in each of the meetings.

    Poland, France and Scotland will bring a small number of students (5-6) to

    the 2nd and 3rd meeting; however, Spain will bring more students to thesemeetings. The other countries will bring a larger number of students to the

    final concert in Lorca, approximately:

    France- 40 students.Poland- 30 students.

    Scotland- 20 students.

    The most of the students will stay with families, and if the Spanish team

    cant find enough families for the 90 students, alternative accommodations

    will be found such as at a youth hostel..and their country will pay for it.

    3-Materials.

    The material will be intended for 14-15 years old students.

    The historical and literary approaches will have relevant and important

    information and will also be as visual as possible. PowerPoint presentations

    could be a good way to represent them.

    Each partner will upload their approaches on the Project wiki space some

    time before the rest of the countries start to work on their poets.

    As far as the extra materials are concerned, each country will suggest the

    most appropriate ones and each country will decide if they are going to beused or not.

    4-Final concert in Lorca.

    Each choir will prepare an individual song and will sing it before the

    International Choir unites to sing the common programme.All the choirs will try to sing two poems of the chosen poets and they will

    start studying the same poem. The music teachers will decide, according to

    the choirs progress, if they will sing one or two poems in the final concert.Each country will prepare the accompaniment, choreography etc for its

    poets song.
