Consultation Meeting at District LevelOverall Objective: To introduce the nature of the project, identity the entry point for the campaign and site of the project work i.e. a ward from Parbat and Kaski District.Kaski District Level Consultation Meeting.Parbat District Level Consultation Meeting.

One half day consultation meeting was conducted in Golden Hotel Kusma Bazar, Kusma district on 4th Nov 2015 A.D. One half day consultation meeting was conducted in Public Choice Restaurant, Baidam 06, Pokhara district at 30th Oct 2015 A.D

2. Ward Level Training Program:Overall Objective:To give training on the issues of plastic, environment conservation and solid waste management to ward level committee member and source person of the selected ward on implementing the campaign successfully and selection of tole for the training program.Ward Level Program on Pokhara 06, Kaski.Ward Level Program on Kusma 09, Parbat.One day consultation meeting was conducted in Golden Hotel Kusma Bazar, Kusma district on 28th Nov 2015 A.D. with 32 participants.One day training was conducted in Public Choice Restaurant, Baidam 06, Pokhara district at 11th Dec 2015 A.D. with 28 participants.

3. Tole Level Training Program:Overall Objective:To give training on understanding on the effect of plastic on environment and health, alternatives to use of plastic to local people in order to make example tole as Plastic free zone of each municipality.Tole Level Program on Pokhara 06, Kaski.Tole Level Program on Kusma 09, Parbat.One day training was conducted in Khatri Tole 09, Parbat District at 16th Dec with 32 participants.One day training was conducted in Namuna Tole, Baidam 06, Kaski District at 13th Dec with 32 participants.

4. Group Rally :Overall Objective:To aware about plastic effect and cleanliness program around the selected ward.Group Rally Program on Pokhara 06, Kaski.Group Rally Program on Kusma 09, Parbat.Group rally was conducted in Khatri Tole 09, Parbat district at 5th May 2016 .A.D.Group rally was conducted in Baidam 06, Pokhara district at 9th April 2016 .A.D.

5. Declaration Program:Overall Objective:To distribute bags and basket and declaration of tole as Plastic free zone as Environment Friendly Local Governance Framework,2013. with delegation of responsibility to local community group.Declaration Program on Pokhara 06, Kaski.Declaration Program on Kusma 09, Parbat.Declaration program in Khatri Tole, Parbat at 22nd Baishak 2073 with participation of Ministry of Environment, municipality, local groups and 300 local people.Declaration program in Khatri Tole, Parbat at 28th Chaitra 2072 with participation of WWF, municipality, local groups and 300 local people.

Achievement with extent of project on whole Kusma Municipality.Declaration was carried out as per Environmental Friendly Local Governance Framework 2013.

Achievements:Declaration of Pokhara Municipality as Plastic free Zone in Baishak 1st 2073.High Women Participation.Proposal of Ministry of Environment and Kusma Municipality to fund 30% in order to carry out Plastic free Campaign to whole Kusma Municipality.Change in behavior of local people on plastic bag usage.Empower to Community people for solid waste management through 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).Policy of Pokhara and Kusma Chamber of Commerce on the ban of plastic bag in commerce sector.Helpful in Eco Friendly Environment.Encourage for home made plastic substitute bag.
