QUOTES

“The power of computer games is seen first and

foremost as located in the way they ask us to interact

with them, to be engaged” (Taylor 2012, 190).

“It is also important to recognize the social nature

of gaming, which has been facilitated by greater

technological sophistication (e.g., multiplayer and

online gaming)” (Bryce and Rutter 2003, 12).

WHAT I LEARNED…

The world of e-sports is big, and ever changing.

It is at the cross section of many different forms of

media.

It takes place in the virtual world.

It has become more and more popular as society

moves toward being comfortable in a virtual space.
