Carolina. New Tech schools have a 97% graduation rate and 98% of their students are accepted into
two- and four-year colleges.
Everyone is an Expert in Something….and We Need You at JL Mann!
What is your passion… gardening, cycling, engineering, medicine, law, geology, history, advertising, travel, writing, biology, chemistry, or perhaps something more exotic? NewTech@Mann is a project based learning approach. This program is in constant need of community partners who are willing to serve as experts on projects. You might be asked to speak to students about your area of expertise, serve as a resource (by phone or in person) for a small group working in a particular area of study, or you may be asked to be part of a panel that judges student project presentations. Currently we are trying to build a data base of resources for future use. Anyone interested (volunteers do not have to be JL Mann parents) in participating is asked to sign up by emailing Mr. Jay Mobley (the NewTech@Mann Instructional Tech) at [email protected]. All that we ask is for you to list your areas of expertise and your contact information.
