PLEATABLE SYNTHETIC HVAC FILTER MEDIA APPLICATIONS
H&V offers a complete line of synthetic media designed for use in HVAC minipleatapplications. Synthetic media are gaining a foothold in the air filtration market due to theirdurability, which allow handling and installation with little or no concern about mediadamage in the filter. Traditional synthetic media technology involves charging the fibers toincrease the attraction of fine particles and initial efficiency. Charged technology offershigh initial filtration but discharges rapidly in use resulting in a much less efficient filterthan originally specified. This media may be fine for less critical applications where highinitial efficiency is desired at very low pressure drop.
For more critical applications, where maintaining the initial efficiency throughout the lifeof the filter is important, Hollingsworth & Vose has introduced the new line of NANOWEB®
synthetic pleatable media. NANOWEB is a mechanical filtration media that relies onsubmicron nanofibers. Our uncharged NANOWEB synthetic media will maintain its efficiencyand its initial MERV rating throughout the life of the filter, while providing very low pressuredrop similar to glass paper, and better performance than standard synthetic material. WhenNANOWEB media is charged, it provides for much less charge degradation than standardsynthetic products on the market. This media is combined with a proprietary nonwovensubstrate layer that has been designed for toughness and durability while allowing for easypleating on both rotary and push-bar pleaters.
H&V offers a complete line ofsynthetic media for HVACminipleat applications.Developed under theHVision™ technologyplatform, NANOWEB mediaprovides very low pressuredrop and much higherperformance while maintain-ing its efficiency throughoutthe filter’s lifetime.
