Stumbleupon:This social media platform I used it to search and find interesting and new material related to my subject .This where I also met some of the inspirational bloggers who are educators. The platform also has options where you can like someone’s work and channels
Diigo : I use diigo to bookmark anything and everything mostly information that could some day help me teach effectively in a classroom.
Slideshare: This is a site where I upload information, share ,comment and download other people’s presentations. I can even follow the people whom I like their work.I uploaded my lesson presentations that are useful for people studying the same subject area and teaching the same subject area
Here you can see the number of people am following and those that are following me on slideshare. It also shows the presentations that I uploaded and how many times they were viewed.
Google drive: Here I uploaded my files and I can be able to access them anywhere as long as there is internet connection. I used it to create some of my presentations such my life science activities and even saved the document for CAPS lifesciences which is important to me as an educator. I can even share them with my fellow colleagues
Linkedin:I used linkedin to join varieties of groups that cater for my individual learning interests .Using this network I can form partnerships with teachers and schools in other countries.
TES :This network has good resources for teachers that is why I joined it. It is quite helpful in providing information related to my subject content. I think it is one of the most effective teachers community available.
Facebook :With this social network site I can interact with people,post and comment on their work. I even liked several pages that discuss biology,this pages have a platform where one can comment and even enquire about some of the content.
Google plus :This network also allows me to share information through circles via hangouts either by video calling or chats.For example me and my colleagues from class use it for our group discussion and enquire when we need assistance from one another.
Video calling via hangouts of google plus : I needed help with my Mooc assignment so I called one of my classmates for help. This made it easy for to get hold of her.This can make learning and teaching become effective and fun at the same time.
Gmail :I used the electronic mail service to communicate with people.I can receive and send information to people. Most of the social networking sites and PLN’S use this method to keep me informed as you can see the email below from one of groups I joined

Google sites: I used it to create my own learning network for life science students in grade 11.Here i can even share my website with other people and also view other people’s websites...HOW COOL IS THAT? :)
When students do not understand a concept they ask and I’ll be able to respond by commenting on that particular concept or unit.
ABOUT ME: I used this platform to create my own personal identity. I can even link it to my other networks such as linkedin,facebook and twitter. This way people can have a background knowledge of who I am and even add me to their collections
