Backrest ContouringA special feature about the Spex backrest is the adjustable ‘CONTOURING-CELL’ CUBE SYSTEM which incorporates into the upholstery unit of the backrest.

Easy configuration for ASYMMETRICAL TRUNK POSTURES – without the need for expensive and complicated custom seating.

The cover un-zips from the top of the backrest and REMAINS FIXED TO THE SHELL whilst you remove the inner upholstery unit.

Changes to the contouring are made ON-THE-SPOT FOR INSTANT RESULTS. Further postural enhancement is performed with the positioning kit.

You CAN’T BEAT THE ADJUSTMENT with these! The slotted hardware can be turned around to either come right in or out past the edge of the cushion.

Spex hip guides are available with FIXED OR QUICK-RELEASE BRACKETS (shown).

The OPTION OF ARMRESTS can be installed to the hip pad. Armrests are available in many different widths and lengths.

Hip pads incorporate a side PRESSURE-REDUCING LAYER for enhanced comfort along the client’s femur and hip bones.

Spex swing-away laterals have ROBUST VERTICAL ANGLE ADJUSTMENT that can be 'tuned' to suit the trunk of the client. (This doesn't restrict the swing movement.) 

Our brackets are built tough and have SPECIAL RUBBER PADS TO STOP SLIPPAGE. Choice of fixed or swing-away with a huge range of pad styles and sizes.    

Comfortable foam padding with EASY-TO-REMOVE WASHABLE COVERS.

HeadrestsWow, this headrest system isn’t ordinary! It has TWIN BALL-JOINTS to orientate the head pad exactly where it is needed.   

NO PROTRUDING BAR AT REAR. Exceptional carer-friendly design doesn’t harm anyone who is pushing the client in the wheelchair.

POWERFUL CLAMP MECHANISM allows super quick release and prevents lateral movement. Extra strong and non-wobbly.  

Ball linkages are secured with HEX-HEAD BOLTS (a spanner can tighten bolts much more than an Allen key)  

GOOSE-NECKED STAINLESS STEM permits additional forward and rearward fine-tuning.
