A new PIF platform created in order to enable the Fair clients to settle the most important matters related to the promotion of products at the Fair via the www.strefawystawcy.pl/en website. For the fair marketing support, a products catalogue, published on the Internet in mobile and traditional version, has been created. In addition, the platform allows you to view the placed and accepted orders together with a preview of issued invoices and registering products in competitions, such as the PIF Gold Medal competition.

The platform also provides an access to InfoCredit reports, very valuable for business, enabling the verification of your contractors' financial condition. The history of “Poznań Fair Magazine” began in 1959 and has so far been created by three exceptional women. Lidia Neuman -Gińska was the first ever editor-in-chief, who led the magazine for 4O years! In 1999 the editing was done by Halina Buczkowska, and ever since 2O12, it has been coming out under the supervision of the present editor-in-chief.

At first, the magazine was published by AGPOL Advertisement and Foreign Trade Publishing Company as “An overview of Manufac-turing Novelties at MTP”, which served as a sort of trade commercials. Just a few years later, its name was modified to “An overview of Poznań International Fair”. It came out in two language version, including English and French once a year as the fair took place only once a year.

The magazines were almost 3OO pages long. One edition included the whole Polish export offer – Polish products, technological thoughts, as well as inventions of all economy branches. The commercials were accompanied by information concerning the economy, particular branches, and the possibilities of establishing co-operation with foreigners by the means of dedicated institutions. The publishing archives include the first kept issues of the magazines of that period, early 6Os.

The early 21st century was a comeback to the quarterly issues, concentrated on the program of exhibition events of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie.

At present, Poznań Fair Magazine is published every half year and takes care of the MTP’s image, complemented with such special editions as “the Fair Calendar” and 12 special editions, dedicated to particular fair events and branches of the Polish economy, including ‘Polagra News’, ‘Budma News’, Gardenia News’, ‘Drema Furnica News.’ Poznań Fair Magazine comes out in the Polish and English languages, in both printed and online version, the latter available at www.issuu.com. The magazine reaches readers in 45 countries directly via postal services. It is also distributed via the Fair Service Offices, VIP Zones, and the Press Center at fair events on the premises of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie. The online version of the magazine is available on the websites of the particular exhibitions, the MTP’s homepage, www.mtp.pl, as well as in the form of a newsletter. It is mostly read in Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain and France. Its readers include chairmen, directors, and employers of marketing departments of particular branches which are represented at the fair, representatives of trade departments of embassies and consulates, trade representati-ves in Poland and abroad, as well as branch chambers and associations, investors, exporters and importers interested in establishing trade contacts, students of higher universities (mostly of economics, technical and artistic faculties).

Over the last 55 years, Poznań Fair Magazine was created by quite casual, yet exceptional women, who decided to share their

memories because of the magazine’s jubilee.

The magazine is my whole life. This is where I started and where I finished my professio-nal career. I co-operated with the best and raised many editors. My adventure with Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie commenced in January 1959, when the director of AGPOL at that time, and

the Chairman of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie presented an offer that I should prepare the fair magazine on the basis of the magazine issued by Leipzig Fair. I was terrified. Step by step I collected materials, made contacts with businessmen and kept on going forward. Until the end of 1959, the first edition was ready in five different languages. The magazine was 3OO pages long then! Every next edition gave me more and more experience I was willing to share. The magazine always reached all ministries, departments of trade of Polish embassies, organizations connected with foreign trade we co-operated with closely, as well as all exhibitors and foreign fair presentation organizers, including trade chamber and associations. Over the years, the magazine was becoming more and more recognizable and awaited. Outstanding graphics, authors and photographers co-oprated with the editorial office, including the photographer Janusz Korpal, Janusz Czarnecki, Jerzy Proppe and Elżbieta Orhon-Lerczak. Many great graphics took care of the graphic aspect, including Antoni Cetnarowski, Zbigniew Staszyszyn. Andrzej Pągowski and Igor Morski designed many covers. Supervised by the fair chairmen, Stefan Askanas, Stanisław Laskowski, Bogusław Zalewski and Andrzej Byrt, as well as the department bosses, Bogdan Danielwski, Miron Maciejewski and Stanisław Smoczyński, I learnt the fair and fell in love with it devoting my heart and my energy. I have very good memo-ries of the time I led the editorial office of Poznań Fair Magazine. I always came across good people, fully engaged and loving their work, just like me. Today, I miss the magazine, and I always think about it positively. I try to do my best and read the coming editions. I know there are plans to prepare specialist editions for particular branches. I keep my fingers crossed for this undertaking and I am happy that the magazine is entering another decade in a good shape and with ambitious plans.

‘Poznań Fair Magazine’ has always been edited by a team of very good journalists and editors, co-operating with a dozen of great graphics, photographers, translators and correctors. We made a group of friends supporting each other so as to work out a positive effect and

satisfaction of our work easier. In the first years off its existence, the magazine would come out once a year in a few language versions; however, the fair events would also happen once a year. In its peak point, ‘Poznań Fair Magazine’ had 19 editions a year, each coming out in three languages – English, German, and Russian. There was also a special edition of the magazine including the exhibition program of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, which also came out in a few languages, including even Chinese. However, as time went by, we noticed the need of informing Polish entrepre-neurs about the Poznań fair and market. Therefore, we started issuing the magazine also in Polish. At first, ‘Poznań Fair Magazine’ accompanied each exhibition taking place in Poznań. However, the development of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, and the increase in the number of specialist exhibitions in particular, forced us to combine the themes of a few events into one edition. The purpose of publishing the magazine has always been to promote our institution as well as the Polish economy, its export offer and the achievements of Polish market leaders. According to the readers, it fulfilled the objectives very well. However, ‘Poznań Fair Magazine’ was also a preview of the very fair events a few months prior to their commencement. Our journalists, who carried out interviews with ministers, directors, and companies’ owners, wrote their articles about manufacturing companies, as well as talked with the exhibitors, were at the same time the first source of information on the upcoming fair events. I have to admit that working for the MTP’s ‘Poznań Fair Magazine’ is a great honor and pleasure for me. I also feel that the whole editing crew contributed to the realization of the fair events, though in a little extent, by putting their heart to prepare each and every edition of the magazine.

Record Breaking Congress at MTP in 2O16

Even 12,OOO dentists from around the world are likely to participate in the World Dental Congress that will be held at MTP fairground in 2O16. This is a tremendous success of Poznan. Such large and important meetings are still very rare in Poland.

The FDI Annual World Dental Congress will be the largest interna-tional medical congress in the history of Poznan. It will be held from 7 to 1O September 2O16. The scientific and training event will be held in at least six MTP halls. During the four-day event, partici-pants of the congress will get acquainted with the most innovative treatment techniques and innovations in diagnosis and therapy. The conference will be accompanied by a trade fair and a series of business, workshop and networking meetings.

Efforts to attract the FDI congress have been made for over a year. Such a prestigious partner and exhibitor has been acquired through the combined efforts of the Polish Dental Society, Poznan Convention Bureau, EXACTUS company and Miedzynarodowe Targi Poznanskie.

In addition to obvious business and image benefits for the city, arranging such a prestigious scientific event in Poznan will also be of great importance for the promotion of Polish science in the world. The congress will be attended by a large number of students of medical and dental faculties of nine university centres (Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan, Lodz, Bialystok, Wroclaw, Katowice and Lublin) and young scientists.Each year the congress organised by the FDI - World Dental Federation is held in a different place. Previous editions of the event were held, among others, in Hong Kong, Dubai, Mexico, Singapore and Salvador. In the autumn 2O14 Congress will be held in New Delhi and in 2 O15 will be held in Bangkok.

“Polish Fashion” promotional program launched

During the fall edition of Poznań Fashion Fair, a program was launched promoting the domestic clothing and footwear brands, titled “Polish Fashion”. The idea of the program is to consolidate the Polish clothing and footwear branches

in one common sign, which will become recognizable by owners of boutiques and retailers. The planned promotional activities of the program “Polish Fashion” include exceptional fashion shows at the fair, distribution of promotional materials, special tags determining a product’s origin and sharing the “Polish Fashion” logotype to be used on packaging of the product, as well as a promotional movie. All the above-mentioned activities aim at promoting domestic brands on European markets, says Edyta Bonin-Kanikowska, Director of Poznań Fashion Fair. Nine companies participated in the program including AB NAHLIK, BOCA, EZURI, LANIERI, MARSELINI, METAFORA, NORD, SEMPER and SEMPRE. You can join the program any time. The project may be participated by designers and producers, whose production is based in Poland in 1OO%.

MTP takes it all

In 2O14 Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie kept its position of the exhibition industry leader of the Central and Eastern Europe. In comparison to the previous year, the Poznań center improved its results as far as all the most important categories are concerned, involving the exhibition area sold, the number of exhibitors, and the number of visitors. In 2O14, 11,37O exhibitors participated in the fair organized by Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, occupying the total area of 468,271 m2. The offer was presented to 622,569 visitors coming from nearly the whole world. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie first in the ranking titled “Exhibition Statistics of Central and Eastern Europe,” which was prepared by CENTREX International Exhibition Statistics Union. According to the statistics, the first three places in terms of the exhibition area sold, number of exhibitors and number of visitors are occupied by Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie before Kielce Fair, Brno Fair and Kyiv Fair International Contract Fair. MTP is also the winner of fair events for particular branches. The CENTREX report distinguishes 27 thematic business sectors. MTP is the organizer of 13 largest fair events in terms of the exhibition area sold, including Zielone Agro Show Agriculture Fair, Gardenia Gardening Fair, Budma Construction Fair, Tour Salon Travelling Fair, Education Fair and Books for Children and Young People, Expopower Energy Fair, Poleko Environment Protection Fair, Drema Wood Industry Fair, Look and BeautyVision Fair, MotorShow, Optical Fair and China Homelife Show.

A new business platform to start

Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie in cooperation with InfoCredit have launched a special internet platform “Exhibitor’s Zone – Business Lever”. It is a new, electronic service for exhibitors, available at www.strefawystawcy.pl, which is to facilitate contacts, business cooperation, and promotional activities at the fair.

Thanks to a set of modern tools, the clients of MTP will have an oppor-tunity to present themselves in Poznań, as well as online. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to search for new contractors, and check their credibility. The data on companies and industry analyses is provided by InfoCredit, dealing with creating business reports.

Using the “Exhibitor’s Zone – Business Lever” portal, the entrepreneurs will gain access to information concerning the ownership structure, financial reports, indicator analyses of more than 1OO million business entities from 21 countries. Additionally, it will be possible to take advantage of the recommendations and verified opinions on the entrepreneur in question, says Tomasz Kobierski, the Vice-Chairman of the MTP’s Board. In his opinion, thanks to the Exhibitor’s Zone – Business Lever portal, the safety of business transactions will be higher.

Today, while Polish companies are looking for new target markets and new recipients in the West as a result of the Russian embargo and the Ukrainian conflict, business informa-

tion is getting more and more significant. The West is more and more interested in Poland, and vice versa. In InfoCredit, we have been noticing a significant increase of inquiries concerning Polish companies done by foreign companies year by year. That results from Polish companies doing better and better on foreign markets. We have also been noticing a growing number of orders regarding potential recipients of Polish services and products in the whole Europe. Such a possibility of combining the profile of a contractor with information on his finances is particularly appreciated by a lot of businessmen, says Jerzy Wonka, Director for InfoCredit development.

The Exhibitor’s Zone, constituting a part of the platform, will hugely facilitate the servicing of exhibitors, including making catalogue entries, for instance. The paper forms will be replaced by electronic ones, which should accelerate the process of filling them in and submitting them. Every entry created by an exhibitor will be included in MTP’s catalogues as well as in the reports done by InforCredit, shared online to provide access worldwide. That will add new quality to economic information. The entries will become an international business card and will be downloaded with every report on the companies exhibiting in Poznań. That creates completely new product promotional possibilities. In order to support the fair marke-ting, the Product Catalogue was created, and is published online, in two versions – a traditional and a mobile one. By the means of the platform, the exhibitors will also gain electronic access to a wide range of additional services. It will make it possible to browse the placed as well as accepted orders, preview the invoices issued, and enter products for the Gold Medal Competition.

The other part of the service, the Business Lever, is to share reports on the financial conditions of companies created by InfoCredit, and to provide business information and industry analyses.

Green technologies – international issue

The government heads of the Central and Eastern Countries as well as China were guests of the POLEKO Fair held by Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie. The conference “Building green bridges between the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe and China”, organized by the Ministry of Environment as part of the so-called 16+1 initiative, was a great chance to get together and aimed at sharing the platform with the meeting participants. That should facilitate the dialog between local governments and business companies (enterprise representatives). The morning session was devoted to exchanging experiences (presentation of e.g. Greenevo Green Technology Accelerator); the afternoon one was devoted to business-to-business meetings dedicated to medium--size and small companies in particular.

Bakers and confectioners around the world are dealing with the same problems – decreasing consumption of baked products, a worrying phenomenon of the lack of succession in case of bakers and confectio-ners, as well as the quality of baked products. The matters of what to do to reverse the unfavorable trends were discussed at the first International Union Congress of Bakers and Confectioners (UIBC) which took place in Poznań in early September alongside the POLAGRA-TECH. Peter Becker, the Chairman of the International Union of Bakers and Confectioners, emphasized the global role of the UIBC for the industry. There is no other organization that would concentrate so many bakers and confectioners in one place. I am happy that Poznań was visited by delegates from the whole world, he said, and added that when choosing the venue for the first Congress of the International Union of Bakers and Confectioners we did not only take into considera-tion the tourist assets of the host country, but also the organization possibilities and the atmosphere of the place. Our trust went to Poznań and Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, which has for years been acting towards the promotion of the baking and confectionery industries. At the congress, which consisted of lectures, panel discus-sions, and committee meetings, such issues as the organization of professional trainings, economy, and social policy were discussed. The other topics that were discussed concerned the significance of marketing in the development of a bakery and a confectionery-bakery as well as the efficiency of promoting bakery products.

Guinness Record broken at MTP

Hubert ‘Gordon’ Blejch began his attempt to beat the record of the length of playing a computer game on the first day of Poznań Game Arena (24 October). He finished playing the game at night on 3O October, beating the current world record by 48 minutes and 2O seconds. The previous record was set 2 years ago by a Australian, Okan Kay, who spent 135 hours 15 minutes and 1O seconds in front of the computer screen playing “Call of Duty”. Hubert ‘Gordon’ Blejch chose “Sniper Elite II Africa“. Just a moment before starting the attempt, he admitted that every game would become boring after such a long time, and that he was afraid of not having people willing to compete, as the record was attempted in the multiplayer mode which required the presence of other players. The player was constantly supervised by 5 to 6 people. Some of them controlled the event. The player was all the time controlled by a medic, and underwent a medical check-up three times a day. According to the rules, the player could take advantage of a 1O-minute break for every 6O minutes spent in front of the computer; the time could be added up. In order for the record to be officially recognized, there is a complete list of necessary documents required by the London’s headquarters of the Guinness Record. Poznań Business Run, to make others’ dreams come true

As many as 5 teams consisting of the employers of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie Fair took part in this year’s charity run, Poznań Business Run. The aim of the event was to support the Foundation of Jaś Mela “Poza Horyzonty” (Beyond horizons), promote healthy lifestyle, and have a lot of fun obviously. The runners will be comple-mented by 5 teams consisting of the workers of MTP: MTP Ideaexpo, MTP Earth Hall Runners, MTP Run is fun, MTP – our boss made us do it, and MTP – the Board. Each runner covered the distance of 3.8 km in total, which resulted in the total distance of 19km. Our teams were encouraged by the motto “We will run as much as we can to make the dreams of others come true.”The business relay took place in a few biggest cities in Poland. In Poznań there were 6OO teams present at the start, including 5 teams of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie PLN 183,577 was raised from the entry fees, and another PLN 22,531 was collected as part of “Help More” action. Owing to that, it will be possible to buy new artificial limbs for Piotr Morowiec and Jakub Talarczyk. The money raised will also help Miłosz Broniszow, who was born with the birth defect of the skeletal system and he also suffers from a serious hearing problem.

He has been a player ever since he was 6 years old. He got the idea of beating the Australian record when organizing a charity, which might attract the players environment. Gordon managed to collect EUR 2,4OO. The money will support the Polish foundation RAK-OFF as well as the Child’s Play charity organization. Thanks to the money collected, hospitals will get games consoles.

The most delicious apples given to Warsaw inhabitants as present

The Festival of Apples, an event organized by the National Association of Fruit and Vegetables Producers in co-operation with Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie (particularly the IDEAEXPO), took place at the end of September at Hoover’s Square in Warsaw’s Krakowskie Przedmieście.

The orchard owners who came to Warsaw from all nooks of Poland presented the product we can boast about around the world, namely the most delicious, the best and healthiest apples coming from Polish orchards. They were giving them away to the visitors of the Warsaw’s Festival. The President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski took the honorary auspices of the Festival, whose purpose was to promote apples, their nutritional and flavor values. Poland is the third biggest producer of the fruit worldwide. The Festival has become a permanent activity organized in response to the closing of some export markets.

The daily paper “Rzeczpospolita” published its “Rzeczpospolita’s Ranking – List 2OOO”. Obviously, the list of 2OOO best companies needed to include Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie.

The daily has for 13 years been publishing its ranking of companies, which are ordered according to sale income, and export income for the previous year. At the same time, the award committee, supervised by the Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński, awards such titles as: The Eagle of Export (for the pace of export), The Brand of Polish Economy (where the companies which boast high export apart from great corporate results can be distinguished), as well as The Good Company (for companies characterized by stable and harmonious development). This year’s award gala took place on September 27 in Warsaw.

The Polish Oil Company Orlen took the first place, whereas Międzynaro-dowe Targi Poznańskie was ranked 1,59O. There were 215 companies from the Wielkopolska region.

SUMMER AT THE FAIR – I LIKE IT!The fair premises are open for Poznań inhabitants, but not only. In the summer season, from mid-June to the end of August, when the exhibition buzz is gone, the fair area is transformed in areas full of attractions. This year, we organized the beach, sand beach soccer, volleyball, badminton, and boules fields as part of the “Summer at the fair” event. The youngest participants could play at the playgrounds and in a large sand-box, or get cooled in the fountain. There were a lot of attractions, which enjoyed lots of interest, including concerts as part of music Fridays, guided MTP tours, a variety of workshops and classes for children. The beach became a symbol of active summer relaxation in the heart of the city. It left people with memories of exceptional, family-like atmosphere and many other attractions, carried out by professional animators and trainers.

The beach was to be open from July 4 to August 14; however, high attendance and the requests of its users led us to prolong the holiday attractions until the last day of August. The “Summer at the fair” event was visited by over 9 thousand people. They were mostly children with moms or grandparents, families, and summer school groups. There were also quite a lot of team sports lovers, who were very willing to book football pitches, volleyball courts, and boules fields.

The opening ceremony and grand finale were the most popular; particularly the outdoor movies (“Midnight in Paris” and “Intouchab-les”). Also, a lot of people took advantage of the historic tour of MTP. Moreover, “Weekend on wheels”, which were days when the MTP premises were occupied by lovers of roller skates and bikes, was very popular.

We hosted football coaches from Reiss Academy, animators from Miasteczko Dzieci (Children Town) and Socatots, trainers of roller- skating from Zico Racing, the Ice Cream Company ‘Wroniecka 17’ as well as the participants of the rehabilitation and education camp

It is not possible to be bored at the fair in the summer, as it is a perfect spot in the heart of the city, where my children can have fun and play safely outdoors. All you need can be found here – games and fun outside, a playground and a sand-box for the youngest, as well as deckchairs for the older ones. You just cannot be bored here! What is better, all the attractions are free! My children are amazed! I find it hard to make them go home. Kasia, a mom of a 4-year-old Natalia and a 6-year-old Krzyś.

Local governments support entrepreneursA few dozen of companies dealing with the leather goods industry presented the potential of Radom region at a collective exposition at Poznań Fashion Fair. The strong representation of Radom companies was created owing to cooperation of Radom’s Commune and the City and the National Chamber of Leather Goods Industry (OIBS).

A conversation with Andrzej Kosztowniak, the President of Radom

It is the second time that the offer of Radom industry has been presented by tanneries, leather fancy goods producers, footwear and clothing companies at Poznań Fashion Fair. Local governments are active at promoting businessmen. Why did you decide to organize a collective exposition of Radom companies?

Andrzej Kosztowniak: Our previous collective presentation at Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie turned out to be a great success. The companies from Radom managed to win lots of medals and awards, and thanks to joint actions, the city itself and the businessmen were outstanding compared to others. Our aim is to create a positive business image of Radom and its area. No matter what we do we try to show assets of Radom, emphasize its investment attractiveness and show the city as investor-friendly and caring. There are many small and medium-size companies, which create the economic pillar of the city. Therefore, we try to promote them even in the form of joint trips for fair events. The leather goods industry has for ages been connected to Radom and its region, and thus it deserves to be shown outside. Together we are better seen; that increases the odds of drawing attention of potential clients as well as investors. Apart from that, participation in an international fair event is a great opportunity to promote the city.

As Kazimierz Klepaczewski, the President of the National Chamber of Leather Goods Industry, says, the companies offering best quality products were chosen for the fair project. How were they selected?

A.K.: The entrepreneurs who applied to participate in the collective visit to the fair needed to fulfill the recruitment conditions, some basic and auxiliary criteria, which were described in the provisions. Except for that, the participation was open to any company of the region, which represent the leather goods industry. We promoted business activities in particular; therefore, additional points could go to companies belonging to business organizations, holding quality certificates, or looking forward to introducing new products on the market. I am pleased with the fact that the elite of the leather goods industry presented their offer at Poznań International Fair.

We chose companies that offer products of the best quality. The medals they win prove how recognizable and appreciated the companies from Radom are.

How much interest was there in the program? Will it be continued in the coming years?

A.K.: Thirteen companies, which fulfilled the requirements and went through the recruitment process, applied to participate in the program. I hope there will be even more companies of the leather goods industry presenting themselves in the coming editions of the fair. We encourage businessmen to join in the collective missions, as it is a great means of promotion.

What should you do when receiving an offer for a directory entry?

Make absolutely sure that you can trust the offer being made. Do not sign a fraudulent offer. Inform your colleagues, in particular in your accounting department, to make staff aware of the situation, and so as to avoid future cases. Send a copy of the form to your chamber of industry and commerce or to the professional association representing your branch of trade.

What should you do if you have signed the form in error?

In most cases, it is only after exhibitors have received an invoice that do realize that they had mistakenly signed an agreement for a directory entry for which fees are due. In such cases it is possible to challenge the agreement, on grounds of error or fraudulent intent. Send a reply using a telefax machine which registers a transmission report, challenging the agreement and making clear that you do not intend to pay the invoice. Keep the telefax transmission report as evidence.

What happens if I do not pay?

The publishers of unofficial exhibitor directories often remain unimpressed by declarations to contest the issue and by a refusal to pay, so that exhibitors must be prepared for a publisher to pursue his claims even after they have challenged the agreement. They will usually then receive further invoices and reminders stating the publisher’s legal position. Later on, exhibitors will some-times be threatened with collection agencies, who are often based abroad, or with legal proceedings ordering payment of debts, or with legal action. In general the purpose of these measures is only to intimidate exhibitors and to prompt them to pay. It is good to know that none of the exhibition industry organizations is aware of any cases in which publishers of unofficial exhibitor directories have actually taken legal action against exhibitors. However, if you do receive a court payment order or if court proceedings are filed against you then you are advised to seek legal assistance.

What should you do if you have paid? If the agreement is in breach of law or if it can be successfully contested then it may be declared void. This would result in no further obligation to pay fees and would mean that in theory any previous payments could be reclaimed. One should however weigh up the pros and cons of investing time and money to engage lawyers and courts. Often the companies in question are based in a country outside Europe, cease operations, or are bankrupt. Furthermore, the legal situation is not always clear. While there are cases in which the courts have ordered that no further fees be paid, one should note that the actual content of these letters and their offers varies to a large degree, and that any rewording thereof constitutes new facts which must be legally reassessed. Furthermore, where companies are concerned, strict criteria are applied to their examining of the content of the terms and conditions in the small print. At the top of the Expoguide form, for example, it is stated in red that a directory entry will incur fees. It is therefore doubtful whether a court would uphold any appeal claiming this agreement to be void.

How to recognize untrustworthy offers What is absolutely the most important thing to know is that:

What should you do when receiving an offer for a directory entry?

Make absolutely sure that you can trust the offer being made. Do not sign a fraudulent offer. Inform your colleagues, in particular in your accounting department, to make staff aware of the situation, and so as to avoid future cases. Send a copy of the form to your chamber of industry and commerce or to the professional association representing your branch of trade.

What should you do if you have signed the form in error?

In most cases, it is only after exhibitors have received an invoice that do realize that they had mistakenly signed an agreement for a directory entry for which fees are due. In such cases it is possible to challenge the agreement, on grounds of error or fraudulent intent. Send a reply using a telefax machine which registers a transmission report, challenging the agreement and making clear that you do not intend to pay the invoice. Keep the telefax transmission report as evidence.

What happens if I do not pay?

The publishers of unofficial exhibitor directories often remain unimpressed by declarations to contest the issue and by a refusal to pay, so that exhibitors must be prepared for a publisher to pursue his claims even after they have challenged the agreement. They will usually then receive further invoices and reminders stating the publisher’s legal position. Later on, exhibitors will some-times be threatened with collection agencies, who are often based abroad, or with legal proceedings ordering payment of debts, or with legal action. In general the purpose of these measures is only to intimidate exhibitors and to prompt them to pay. It is good to know that none of the exhibition industry organizations is aware of any cases in which publishers of unofficial exhibitor directories have actually taken legal action against exhibitors. However, if you do receive a court payment order or if court proceedings are filed against you then you are advised to seek legal assistance.

What should you do if you have paid? If the agreement is in breach of law or if it can be successfully contested then it may be declared void. This would result in no further obligation to pay fees and would mean that in theory any previous payments could be reclaimed. One should however weigh up the pros and cons of investing time and money to engage lawyers and courts. Often the companies in question are based in a country outside Europe, cease operations, or are bankrupt. Furthermore, the legal situation is not always clear. While there are cases in which the courts have ordered that no further fees be paid, one should note that the actual content of these letters and their offers varies to a large degree, and that any rewording thereof constitutes new facts which must be legally reassessed. Furthermore, where companies are concerned, strict criteria are applied to their examining of the content of the terms and conditions in the small print. At the top of the Expoguide form, for example, it is stated in red that a directory entry will incur fees. It is therefore doubtful whether a court would uphold any appeal claiming this agreement to be void.

The motto of KNIEJE fair which will make their debut on February 6 and take place until 8 February 2O15 is emotions – passion – adventure. The three words encompass the idea of the organizers, the reason why exhibitors are going to participate and motivation encouraging you to get familiar with the exposition.

Why KNIEJE? The idea of organizing an event dedicated to hunting and shooting enthusiasts in Poznań results from the natural extension of the thematic scope of RYBOMANIA Angling Fair, which takes place simultaneously, and which gathered as many as 24,OOO visitors in 2O14. arena DESIGN (17-2O February 2O15) will host a special guest, the Barber Osgerby studio! The designers work for world’s greatest brands including Vitra, B&B Italia, Venini, Cappellini, Magis, Swarovski, Established & Sons, as well as Transport for London. They are also the authors of the summer Olympic Games torch in London in 2O12. In the beginning of May, Poznań will be visited by specialists of infrastructural construction, railroad engineering, road engine-ering, and sewage systems. They will have an opportunity to learn about new technologies and devices for their branches at INTERMASZ and INFRATEC. The first edition proved INTERMASZ to be a perfect spot for comparing offers of the leaders of construction machines, vehicles and equipment in order to make business contracts. CREDITS FOR THE BEST COOKSThe most important and the most prestigious competition in the Polish gastronomy – the Polish Culinary Cup (PCC) – is directed to professional cooks. The competition’s aim is to discover and present culinary talents and choose the “Best of the best”. The history of the competition goes back to the year 2OOO, when its first edition took place. Ever since then, the PCC has still been developing, gaining more and more recognition in the gastronomy environment.

Recognition of the international gastronomy environment Undoubtedly, the fact that the competition is supported by such organizations as Fundacja Klubu Szefów Kuchni (Chefs’ Club Association) Stowarzyszenie Euro-Toques Polska (Euro-Toques Association Poland) and Ogólnopolskie Stowarzyszenie Szefów Kuchni i Cukierni (Polish Association of Chefs and Confectioners), which took auspices over the event, is a great success of the competition. The competition also gained interest among the international gastronomy environment. This is confirmed in the way of a formal recommendation given by the WACS, World Association of Chefs Societies.

There are many gastronomy leaders working for the benefit of the PCC, including:Joanna Ochniak - the president of the Women in WACS Committee, an initiator of “Gastronomy in high-heels” project devoted to all women employed in the gastronomy industry, an activist and a propagator of many ideas concerning HoReCa; as well as Zenon Hołubowski - a member of the American Culinary Federation, World Association of Chefs’ Societies, as well as a Honorary Member of Euro-Toques Poland. It is worth emphasizing that Zenon Hołubowski is the only chef in Poland to have achieved the CEC Certificate so far (Certified Executive Chef) which is awarded by the WACS.

Top class judgesThe organizers of the PCC pay a lot of attention to the jury compo-sition. There are great authorities of the gastronomy environment in the jury. We invite not only great Polish chefs, but also foreign culinary masters, including those from Michelin awarded restau-rants. Such famous personas as Gissur Gudmundsson, Armand Steinmetz, Jean-Bernard Mahut, Malin Söderström, Loïc Malfait assessed the competitions so far. In the PCC Final, Poland was represented by Zenon Hołubowski, Jerzy Pasikowski as well as Jarosław Uściński.

Clear competition rulesThe Polish Culinary Cup is participated by those cooks who have won one of the nominated competitions. The list including them is agreed upon every year by the PCC Program Board. The Board also decides about the assessment system. At present, the PCC and other nominated competitions are assessed according to the same criteria and grading system.

This way, the assessment system of cooks is standardized, thus making the nominated competitions as well as the PCC more transparent.

Professional development trampolineThe winner’s title “Best of the best” is a proof and acknowledgement of his knowledge, skills and creativity. It is a pass for the future development, actively participated by the PCC organizers, as one of the awards for the winner is an apprenticeship in a recognizable foreign restaurant. The trainers share their knowledge of work organization in a kitchen, the way of combining ingredients and the menu, as well as the strategies of a restaurant operation. Additionally, there are different meetings where the laureate of the PCC has an opportunity to get to know the secrets of a particular cuisine. So, it is worth competing!

TASTES OF POLAND

All the described delicacies were presented at TASTES OF THE REGIONS FAIR, which took place in Poznań at the end of September. The Western Pomerania played the role of the event’s Regional Partner.

Regional delicacies – Western PomeraniaThe Western Pomerania province is mostly associated with Paprykarz Szczeciński (a fish paste), a cucumber or pates; but the region, in fact, boasts many more culinary delicacies. There are 26 positions of the Western Pomerania in the list of regional products, including a few kinds of honey, pickled mushrooms with green pine cones, a dessert plum wine, fruit and vegetable juice, a potatoe as well as the above -mentioned hits, namely the pate and the fish paste as well as the cucumber. All the enthusiasts of the Polish cuisine should definitely try jams of roses or green tomatoes as well as smoked freshwater whitefish, topped with a honey dessert.

Szczecin’s rose jamThe Rosa Rugosa is a unique species, most likely brought to the Western Pomerania between the 19th and the 2Oth century. Its location is connected with the sea closeness. At present, the rose is still grown in the area of Szczecin, though in a smaller scale. The big areas of the rose in the Western Pomerania led to the creation of the jam production plant. The product is characterized by sweet flavor and the color ranging from orange to dark red. The existence of the rose in today’s Western Pomerania was first mentioned in the book by Marie Rosnack “Stettiner Kochbuch” from 1845 (“Szczecin’s Cookery Book”).

Jam of green tomatoesYou can do many delicious salads and jams of unripe green tomatoes. The jams taste like exotic fruit and they perfectly complement cakes and desserts as well as tea. The jams can be bought directly as well as at agricultural tourist farms in the Western Pomerania region.

Golden Smoked Freshwater

Whitefish “Miedwianka”The whitefish “Miedwianka” is a specific subspecies of the whitefish, which exists only in Lake Miedwie. Its meat is very tender, ranging from white to light pink, and has a unique taste. Apart from those, the Miedwianka is also characterized by a unique smoking process which only the fishermen in the family know the recipe of, and which they pass from one generation to another. The gourmets choose the fish, out of many other kinds, for its delicate and delicious meat. It is recommendable for all light diets as it is rich in unsaturated fatty acids.

Honey DrahimThe honey has a great natural taste. It originates from bee yards located in the areas of the Drawsko National Park, where moors, old lime trees, acacias, rapeseed and buckwheat fields are located. The honey is obtained using natural methods. It is of the best quality thanks to the weather conditions, clean environment, traditions and taking care of the bee yards. There are a few kinds of the honey, including lime tree, buckwheat, multi-flower, rapeseed, moor, honeydew. Owing to the origin, the types of honey guarantee the product’s best quality.

Due to the crash of one of the export markets, Polish companies face the challenge of searching for new directions of develop-ment on non-European Union markets, which are very distant at times, including Africa, Asia, America, as well as the Middle East. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie is very experienced and offers complex support in making ‘the first step’ at establishing cooperation in foreign markets, for example, by the means of participating in fair events, missions, and industry conferences.

Nearly a third of Polish companies is engaged with exportation. According to the research by the Kronenberg Foundation of CitiBank Handlowy, each of them operates on seven foreign markets on average. The majority of exporters, as many as 4O%, operates in production, 29% is active in trade, and 22% offers services. More than three quarters has operated on the market for more than 1O years. The most popular target market is Germany, where 57% of Polish companies managed to find the recipients. They are followed by Russia (27%), France and Great Britain (16% each), the Czech Republic (14%), Italy (13%) as well as Lithuania (12%). The number of companies looking for distant target markets including Africa, Asia, America and the Middle East is slowly growing.

The research of Kronenberg Foundation of CitiBank Handlowy pinpo-ints that as many as 97% of the Polish companies which have tried their chances on foreign markets are satisfied with their decisions. Moreover, 39% of the companies are going to expand even further in two years.

Over the last ten years, the total value of Polish investments abroad went beyond EUR 41 million. The majority of the investments concerns the petrol and extractive industries, as well as financial and construction industries. Moreover, the IT sector is also quite strong. The fact of being present on foreign markets requires a long-term strategy and consequence in terms of brand building, and business credibility.

Representatives of Brazilian business and media visited such companies as CRIST S.A. and VISTAL S.A. in Gdynia, FAMOS Ltd. in Starogard Gdański, and TOWIMOR S.A. in Toruń during the incoming mission organized as part of the General Promotion Program in Brazil. The visit of the Brazilians resulted from the previous co-operation and talks, which had taken place at the stand of the Ministry of Economy, during the NAVALSHORE 2O14 and RIO OIL & GAS 2O14 in Rio de Janeiro. The positive outcomes of the negotiations resulted in two cooperation agreements which were signed between the Brazilian company Trade Oleo & Gas and the CRIST S.A. company, as well as between the Brazilian Drillship Solutions and the VISTAL S.A. joint company

As part of the General Promotion Program of Video Games, which was prepared by the Ministry of Economy, 8 Polish companies including Mellon-games, Techland, CD Projekt, Fuero Games, Nantec-Genesis, Vivid Games, Flying Wild Hog and Subashir presented themselves at Gamescom, world’s biggest fair of interactive games and entertainment in Köln. The event took 5 days and was highly popular with video games developers, designers, as well as the fans of electronic games. The visitors, who visited the Polish stand had an opportunity to find out about the Polish video games industry, try the games out, and compete for the greatest score of TIMBERMAN, a game created by Digital Melody from Wrocław. The winner won a games console of 8th generation and Polish computer games

A stands for Acanthus Aureus - in 2O14 the exhibitions built by IDEAEXPO.MTP were awarded as many as 29 Acanthus Aureus awards. The Golden Acanthus statuettes are awarded to exhibitors whose stands are designed in such a way as to foster the realization of the marketing strategy of companies presenting their offer at a trade fair.

Bstands for BUDMA. This is our flagship event and a good opening for the year. Our contribution to BUDMA 2O14 consisted of as many as 38O stands in an area of nearly 11.5OO m2 and brought us 5 golden Acanthus Aureus statuettes.

C stands for CAVALIADA – from Lublin through Warsaw and finishing in Poznań – three times per year we transform trade fair halls into professional parcours, horse stables, warm-up areas – everything that is needed to conduct a professional horse obstacle course competition.

Dstands for the DESIGN present at the trade fairs and the events for which we prepare unique space arrangements to serve as a fitting background for beautiful objects. This is most prominent at the DESIGN arena and the prestigious TOP DESIGN contest, but not only there. It is also used at the Strada di Architettura during the BUDMA trade fair, the Polish Designers Area during the Arts and Artistic Objects Festival, the Blogger's Zone at the Home Decor trade fair and for an increasingly popular trend, namely ...

E stands for ECODESIGN – a topic that has first come up during the POLEKO 2O14 trade fair, taking the form of a contest and exhibition which we have arranged. The patron and originator of the undertaking was the Minister of the Environment. We have also created the stand for the Ministry of the Environment which, according to the visitors, was one of the most 'eco-stylish' at the trade fair, not only because of its patterning but also because of the use of recyclable materials.

Fstands for FRANKFURT and the largest Book Trade Fair in the world, where we have once again built the stand for Instytut Książki (The Books Institute) which hosted Polish publishers. We have also traveled with Instytut Książki to trade fairs in London and Bologna.

G stands for GRÜNE WOCHE – the largest agri-food trade fair in the world, where we have built part of the Polish exhibition amounting to a total of 7 stands, one for each of seven regions: wielkopolskie, lubuskie, śląskie, dolnośląskie, małopolskie, łódzkie and opolskie. The stands were created with the goal of maintaining an atmosphere of a small market where delicious and healthy food is king, in accordance with the slogan of the Polish delegation „Poland tastes great”.

H stands for HOMELIFE SHOW – in May, 4OO Chinese companies have set up comfortably at the trade fair halls and we were the main contractor of the exhibition. The uniform stands were adapted to best present the offer of Chinese entrepreneurs from several industry branches, mainly: textiles, home accessories and decoration, clothing, domestic appliances and lighting. Aside from the stands we have also arranged special areas – a business meeting space, a conference hall, a service office, a catering space and the stage for the opening ceremony.

I stands for INTERIORS – a trade fair in Birmingham where Polish furniture companies presented themselves. The presentation was coordinated by PAIiIZ, the Polish Information and Foreign Invest-ment Agency. To suit the Polish manufacturers' needs we have organized a 168 m2 stand. At this trade fair we have also built a stand for the Ministry of Economy as part of the Industry Branch Promotion Program.

J stands for JUICY APPLES which we associate with our youngest „child”, the Apple Festival in Warsaw. On the request of the National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Groups we have coordinated the organization of this undertaking. We were responsible not only for the creation of the exhibition, arranging the stage, technical support and logistics, but also for the design of the event concept, its promotion and schedule – stage performances, workshops and culinary exhibitions, and a fun-zone for the kids.

K stands for KREATOR STOISK (the Stand Creator app) – an application launched near the end of last year which has enjoy-ed constant interest from exhibitors. Using this tool, over 2OO clients have designed their stands. The app will be expanded and upgraded very soon.

L stands for LUSH FORESTS, a place where the largest forest industry branch trade fair, EKO-LAS, was organized. The open air exhibition was built almost exclusively by the IDEAEXPO.MTP team. To begin with, we prepared the forest area and leveled it using forest chips. We also attached the necessary electrical wiring. Aside from the tent areas we also built an open air conference hall with full multimedia equipment and prepared the infrastructure to suit the needs of the 1st Polish National Forwarder Championship (jury stands, sound equipment and time-tracking clocks).

IDEAEXPO.MTP from A to ZIt is with great pleasure to present the variety of our activities in 2O14 in atypical way. We have decided to sort them in an alphabetical order.

M stands for the MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE for which we have arranged 5 open-air stands in 2O14, each with an area of 1OO m2 in Szepietowo, Minikowo, Siedlce, Spała and Bednary. We have also built the Ministry of Agriculture stand at the Agro-Tech trade fair in Kielce and the Polagra Food and Breeding Animals Exhibition in Poznań. We were awarded the rights to realize the projects by winning tenders.

N stands for the NEW FURNITURE CATALOG – which in its printed and digital form allows readers to acquaint themselves with the largest collection of furniture and equipment for trade fair stands, conference rooms etc. in Poland.

O stands for our ONGOING MAINTENANCE of PCC – Poznań Congress Center, for which we continue to provide comprehensive technical support for all MTP conference halls, including Sala Ziemi (the Earth Hall) and the entire modernized hall 15. We provide support not only for classic conferences but also concerts, theatrical performances, events and company meetings.

Pstands for PWK, the General National Exhibition (Powszechna Wystawa Krajowa) – the IDEAEXPO.MTP team was fully responsible for the creation of the exhibition space for the „Competitive Poland”. General National Exhibition organized to celebrate the 25th anniver-sary of the first free, democratic election for the Parliament and Senate in Poland and the 85th anniversary of the 1st General National Exhibition. In the two historical MTP halls nearly 1OO Polish companies have presented themselves whose last 25 years of activity have been characterized by innovation and creativity. Exhibitions for Polish counties were also arranged, as well as the following exhibitions: „25 years of the liberated Poland through the lenses of Gazeta Wyborcza photographers, RED DOT and the „Well-designed success” exhibition presenting top-tier Polish design.

R stands for REPUTABLE agriculture fairs. Agriculture is a topic in which we feel at home. All across Poland we build stands for industry leaders in this branch – John Deere, AGCO, Lemken, Zetor, Kuhn, Korbanek and many more. Along with our exhibitors we visit most of the agriculture trade fairs organized in Poland, beginning with Polagra in Poznań in January and ending with Agro-Park in Lublin in October.

S stands for STATISTICS – a must-have in such a summary. At the moment of this text's writing (end of November 2O14) we have built 5,737 exhibition stands on an area of 146.615 m2. Before the end of the year this number will rise to about 6,OOO. We have built stands at over 11O trade fair events organized in Poznań and other exhibition centers in Poland and Europe.

T stands for the Thrilling WEDDING FAIR. In January 2O14 for the first time we have been the general contractor for stands at the Wedding Fair. We were responsible for the creation of half of the stands plus the stand for the organizer, Magazyn Ślubny, as well as technical supervision during the event.

U stands for our UNMATCHED RANGE OF SERVICES – our offer of services grows larger year by year. We do not only construct stands, but also prepare promotional materials for exhibitors, promotional gadgets, touch screen applications, promotional videos. We provide stands with AV/TV and IT equipment. We provide full catering and personnel service. We organize culinary and entertain-ment shows. We do not shy away from fashion shows and other events at which we provide professional lighting and sound equip-ment. We are also responsible for the arrangement of all industry branch evening galas, Award Ceremonies and trade fair opening ceremonies as well as for preparing most of the events and special areas at all trade fairs. We also set new standards in our support of trade fair stands outside of Poznań – in this case we focus on a few trade fair centers in Poland and Europe and we have prepared benefi-cial offers for our clients for several trade fair events over the year.

W stands for a WONDERFUL VACATION, where we ourselves rest, but where we also allow others to relax. It has become traditional for us to organize a beach for the citizens of Poznań at the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie . We have also created football fields and beach volleyball courts as well as all-day-long fun activities for the children. In the evening we organized concerts and movie screenings. The citizens of Poznań appreciated our beach so much that it has won the vote for „The coolest event of the summer 2O14” at www.poznan.naszemiasto.pl and has been awarded the White Potato of the Week award (Biała Pyra) by Gazeta Wyborcza.

Z stands for ZOOLOGY – animals at trade fairs are our specialty. Just this year we have arranged theBreeding Animals Exhibition, a dog show, an animal exhibition at the Try Fine Food Picnic, 3 horse riding events, the AQUAZOO trade fair and a pigeon and poultry exhibition. The only animals missing are cats – we will try to include them in our repertoire next year.

The stands were created with the goal of maintaining an atmosphere of a small market where delicious and healthy food is king, in accordance with the slogan of the Polish delegation „Poland tastes great”.

H stands for HOMELIFE SHOW – in May, 4OO Chinese companies have set up comfortably at the trade fair halls and we were the main contractor of the exhibition. The uniform stands were adapted to best present the offer of Chinese entrepreneurs from several industry branches, mainly: textiles, home accessories and decoration, clothing, domestic appliances and lighting. Aside from the stands we have also arranged special areas – a business meeting space, a conference hall, a service office, a catering space and the stage for the opening ceremony.

I stands for INTERIORS – a trade fair in Birmingham where Polish furniture companies presented themselves. The presentation was coordinated by PAIiIZ, the Polish Information and Foreign Invest-ment Agency. To suit the Polish manufacturers' needs we have organized a 168 m2 stand. At this trade fair we have also built a stand for the Ministry of Economy as part of the Industry Branch Promotion Program.

J stands for JUICY APPLES which we associate with our youngest „child”, the Apple Festival in Warsaw. On the request of the National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Groups we have coordinated the organization of this undertaking. We were responsible not only for the creation of the exhibition, arranging the stage, technical support and logistics, but also for the design of the event concept, its promotion and schedule – stage performances, workshops and culinary exhibitions, and a fun-zone for the kids.

K stands for KREATOR STOISK (the Stand Creator app) – an application launched near the end of last year which has enjoy-ed constant interest from exhibitors. Using this tool, over 2OO clients have designed their stands. The app will be expanded and upgraded very soon.

L stands for LUSH FORESTS, a place where the largest forest industry branch trade fair, EKO-LAS, was organized. The open air exhibition was built almost exclusively by the IDEAEXPO.MTP team. To begin with, we prepared the forest area and leveled it using forest chips. We also attached the necessary electrical wiring. Aside from the tent areas we also built an open air conference hall with full multimedia equipment and prepared the infrastructure to suit the needs of the 1st Polish National Forwarder Championship (jury stands, sound equipment and time-tracking clocks).

M stands for the MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE for which we have arranged 5 open-air stands in 2O14, each with an area of 1OO m2 in Szepietowo, Minikowo, Siedlce, Spała and Bednary. We have also built the Ministry of Agriculture stand at the Agro-Tech trade fair in Kielce and the Polagra Food and Breeding Animals Exhibition in Poznań. N stands for the NEW FURNITURE CATALOG – which in its printed and digital form allows readers to acquaint themselves with the largest collection of furniture and equipment for trade fair stands, conference rooms etc. in Poland.

We were responsible for the creation of half of the stands plus the stand for the organizer, Magazyn Ślubny, as well as technical supervision during the event.

We do not only construct stands, but also prepare promotional materials for exhibitors, promotional gadgets, touch screen applications, promotional videos. We provide stands with AV/TV and IT equipment. We provide full catering and personnel service. We organize culinary and entertain-ment shows. We do not shy away from fashion shows and other events at which we provide professional lighting and sound equip-ment. We are also responsible for the arrangement of all industry branch evening galas, Award Ceremonies and trade fair opening ceremonies as well as for preparing most of the events and special areas at all trade fairs. We also set new standards in our support of trade fair stands outside of Poznań – in this case we focus on a few trade fair centers in Poland and Europe and we have prepared benefi-cial offers for our clients for several trade fair events over the year.

W stands for a WONDERFUL VACATION, where we ourselves rest, but where we also allow others to relax. It has become traditional for us to organize a beach for the citizens of Poznań at the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie . We have also created football fields and beach volleyball courts as well as all-day-long fun activities for the children. In the evening we organized concerts and movie screenings. The citizens of Poznań appreciated our beach so much that it has won the vote for „The coolest event of the summer 2O14” at www.poznan.naszemiasto.pl and has been awarded the White Potato of the Week award (Biała Pyra) by Gazeta Wyborcza.

Z stands for ZOOLOGY – animals at trade fairs are our specialty. Just this year we have arranged theBreeding Animals Exhibition, a dog show, an animal exhibition at the Try Fine Food Picnic, 3 horse riding events, the AQUAZOO trade fair and a pigeon and poultry exhibition. Just this year we have arranged theBreeding Animals Exhibition, a dog show, an animal exhibition at the Try Fine Food Picnic, 3 horse riding events, the AQUAZOO trade fair and a pigeon and poultry exhibition. The only animals missing are cats – we will try to include them in our repertoire next year.

It consists of over 7O modern conference rooms, 16 exhibition pavilions, the largest of which rooms

11 thousand people, and the Earth Hall for two thousand people, which is an exhibition-concert hall. The equivalent number of car park spaces is also available. Additionally, the visitors will also find ideal places for restaurant, bar, or café meetings. MTP, the organizer of the greatest congress of 2O13

Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organization and the Association of Conferences and Congresses in Poland have chosen the organizer of the largest congress in Poland last year. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie have been chosen out of the greatest realizations submitted by the PCO (Professional Congress Organizer) characterized by the recommendation of PCB PTO.

The key criteria that have been taken into consideration were the number of congress participants, their structure according to their nationalities, the types of services realized by the event’s organizer. The 19th United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP19, which was organized at the order of the Ministry of Environment last autumn at the National Stadium in Warsaw by Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie was the greatest event out of all the submitted entries. The 12-day-long event gathered 12,OOO guests from around the world. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie was responsible for the construction of temporary conference rooms in the stadium, complex marking and the arrangement of the conference area, the construction and services of the computer, IT and energy systems needed for the event, as well as photographic services.

Directions EMEA 2O14 in Poznań!

Europe’s largest event organized by partners of Microsoft – Directions EMEA took place on the premises of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie. From 8 to 1O October, more than 1,OOO participants from 43 countries participated in lectures, workshops, and networking sessions, which presented the novel-ties of another version of the NAV-Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2O14 system.

Directions EMEA is a prestigious, cyclical event, gathering representatives of Microsoft Dynamics NAV partners from the whole world, who share experiences and opinions, yet extending their knowledge on the system. Its previous editions took place in Rome, Berlin, Barcelona, and Vienna. This year, the event was participated by Paul White – Senior Director of Microsoft Dynamics ERP, responsible for the development strategy of Microsoft Dynamics, Eric Tiden – General Manager of Microsoft Dynamics NA, as well as architects, engineers and creators of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The numerous group of experts also included representatives of dynamically developing European companies, consisting of producers of industrial solutions, ISV companies (Independent Software Vendors), as well as companies which are specialized in implementing them.

Prestigious nomination for the manager of Poznań Congress Center

Sabrina Żymierska, the manager of Poznań Congress Center, was nominated in the category of “Facility Manager” for the title of 2O14 MICE Poland Personality of the Year in by the monthly magazine, MICE Poland. The MICE Poland Personality of the Year Contest will take place for the seventh time. It aims at distinguishing the people who are recognizable by an industry, as well as promoting good meeting practice. The title “2O14 MICE Poland Personality of the Year” will be awarded in four categories including Ordering party, Organizer, Facility Manager, and Sub-contractor. Apart from representatives of agencies, candidates for the title are also nominated by experienced representatives of hotels, conference and events facilities, thus showing appreciation of professionalism and quality of co-operation. There are ten candidates in each of the four nominated categories. The competition results will be announ-ced at the Gala of 2O14 MICE Personality of the Year, which will be held in February 2O15.
