IN PROFILE: Caramac Coffee

Caramac Coffee is the new coffee shop experience in Merthyr Tydfil. Bringing the feel of the big city coffee

shop to our town, Caramac Coffee offer such exhilarating taste experiences like the magnificent Chocolate Bar Shake! These are wonderfully indulgent milk shakes made with large scoops of ice cream, and blended with a choice of Bounty, Snickers, Mars Bar, Mint Aero, Galaxy, Flake, Chocolate Orange, and even an Oreo Cookie!!

Flavoured coffees, include hazlenut, caramel, and chocolate. And the hot chocolate drinks have an imaginative edge too, with After Eight choice, and, a nutty flavoured hot chocolate that includes flavours of roasted and raw hazelnuts!..Yummy!

And of course there is a wide variety of quality coffees and teas.

Food certainly has the wow factor at Caramac Coffee too! Notably the Magic Wrap Roll available hot or cold. Arif Sardar, owner and manager, says “the Magic Wrap Roll is designed to give you your ‘five-a-day’, and have more

delicious filling, and less dough!” The staff at pocketpad have tried three of different types now, and have loved each one of them. They are large substantial wraps full of flavour and generous on the fillings. Choose from a wrap spread with mint yoghurt or humous, then filled with salad and vegetables, mozarella, and a choice of additions like sweetcorn jalapenos, sun-dried tomatoes, and a choice of meats, and sauces.

Everything is available to eat-in or take-away. All cakes are home made, and there is free Wi-Fi to make your coffee break that little bit more enjoyable!

One of the other big city features that Caramac Coffee has brought to the town are the late opening hours. All in all, Caramac Coffee is in our opinion, a coffee shop experience that is akin to that found in the smart upmarket areas of the big cities, and is a unique, and refreshing addition to our High Street.
