Page 2: Poetry project By, David Wilcox. Be music, night Be music, night, That her sleep may go Where angels have their pale tall choirs Be a hand, sea, That

Be music, night Be music, night,

That her sleep may go Where angels have their pale tall choirs

Be a hand, sea, That her dreams may watch

Thy guides man touching the green flesh of the world

Be a voice, sky, That her beauties may be counted

And the stars will tilt their quiet faces   Into the mirror of her loveliness

Be a road, earth, That her walking may take thee

Where the towns of heaven lift their breathing spires

O be a world and a throne, God, That her living may find its weather

And the souls of ancient bells in a child's book   Shall lead her into Thy wondrous house

What I think about the poem Be music, night

• This poem had a lot of alliteration.

• I also noticed that the author used the words like and as a lot in this poem.

• He probably used these words to describe what he was trying to tell the reader.

Love that boy• Love that boy,

like a rabbit loves to runI said I love that boylike a rabbit loves to runLove to call him in the morninglove to call him"Hey there, son!"

• He walk like his Grandpa,Grins like his Uncle Ben.I said he walk like his Grandpa,And grins like his Uncle Ben.Grins when he’s happy,When he sad, he grins again.

• His mama like to hold him,Like to feed him cherry pie.I said his mama like to hold him.Like to feed him that cherry pie.She can have him now,I’ll get him by and by

• He got long roads to walk downBefore the setting sun.I said he got a long, long road to walk downBefore the setting sun. He’ll be a long stride walker,And a good man before he done
