Song by Michael Jackson tells us how important for us to heal our mother nature who

is in need of healing. As we realise, man is no longer in harmony. This happens because of

humans which cause environmental pollution. Environmental pollution causes most of the

disasters today. We humans are responsible to recover back our earth which has wounds

around it. How can we solve this problem? I have certain opinions to solve this problem.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) have quoted that “One person

alone cannot save the planet’s biodiversity, but each individual’s effort to encourage nature’s

wealth must not be underestimated.” Environmental awareness should be invoked in

everyone’s heart and mind by television shows or advertisement regarding pollution and the

disasters that are happening around. This actually helps us to take wise decision and might

put people in world to think deeply. Now days, television became the most important thing in

every human life to entertain themselves. Everyone watches programmes, shows, and

movies. In between those programmes we should bring up issues about environmental

pollution which might make views to realise what is happening to our mother nature.

Moreover, parents are aware that education is the most important thing. All of them

send their children to school without fail. We could help mother earth who needs our help by

giving education about environmental pollution. We can tell or talk about environmental

pollution, effects or impacts, and suggestions to solve the problem. Children who are the

tomorrow’s leaders or assets of our country will also help us to prevent by telling their

parents or elders when wrongs or mistakes take place.

On the other hand, our country have introduced 3R which are reduce, reuse and

recycle. In my opinion I think we should promote this programme more so that environmental

pollution reduces. We should implement our government’s programme to reduce

environmental pollution. We should tell the advantages of reduce, reuse and recycle to

nation. Our nation will know the advantages and they might follow the programme. Directly

or indirectly environmental pollution will decrease.

Now days people don’t care about laws. We can see dumped rubbish right under the

board which says do not throw rubbish. They would have even stated on the board about the

punishments about throwing rubbish. But no one is scared because the law has not been

implemented on anyone who throws rubbish. Existing laws and regulations aimed at

reducing pollution should be strictly enforced as soon as possible. The Department of

Environment and the Road Transport Department, respectively, should ensure that

industries and vehicle owner comply with environmental regulations.

Cotton Fitzsimmons had quoted that “you're not going to make me have a bad day. If

there's oxygen on earth and I'm breathing, it's going to be a good day.” Solutions had been

suggested to combat all types of pollution so that delicate ecosystems can thrive once again.

So we people, have to take a step to heal mother earth. Mother Nature needs our help. Her

deep wounds should be healed as soon as possible. Reducing pollution requires efforts by

all parties concerned the government, industries and consumers. Stricter control, more

public awareness and reasonable pricing for 'green' products will all help in reducing

pollution in the country. So ladies and gentlemen, let us do our part in reducing pollution.
