DescriptionA range of rod and piston head support bushes,
manufactured from a special load bearing composite
material. The bushes are supplied preformed and
split for fitting into “groove” type housings in piston
rod glands or piston head grooves.
ApplicationsType SG/KG bearing bushes can be used in most
hydraulic cylinder applications where previously
metallic bushes were used. They can withstand
continual compressive loads of 50/60N/mm2.
Because of the simplified housing design and
reduced cost of the bearing bush in comparison with
traditional phosphor bronze bushes, type SG/KG help
reduce overall cost of the cylinder.
Materials/Application LimitsBearing bushes type SG/KG are manufactured from a
polyester reinforced material properties.
Surface FinishThe surface finish required by type SG/KG bushes is
normally dictated by the surface finish specified for
the rod seal.
Gap WidthsWhen using type SG/KG bearing bushes in an
application where the bush is in close proximity to aseal then it should be remembered that the resultant
gap that will occur, between seal and bush, should be
with respect to the seal, not to bush.
