Pooh Bear found a trickle of water coming from under the flats in Luton. Not enough for him to sail in his blue boat. This was the river source.

Pooh Bear followed the water through the Chiltern Hills. Can you see the little stream that Pooh Bear followed? Finally, there was just enough water for Pooh Bear to sail along the River Lee in his blue boat.

Pooh Bear reached a town called Ware. The river was much bigger now. People had built locks and Pooh Bear needed help to open and close the gates.

Pooh Bear sailed further down the river towards London. He watched the trains whizz by next to the river on their way to London.

The River Lee was much wider now and contained much more water. Pooh Bear saw a canal boat. He stopped and had some honey for his snack on the canal boat before sailing on down the river.

Finally Pooh Bear reached London. The River Lee joined the River Thames.

The river got wider and wider. Pooh Bear had arrived at the Thames Estuary where the River Thames meets the North Sea. This is the mouth of the river.

Pooh Bear had sailed all the way from the source to the mouth of the River Lee. He felt very happy and proud and decided to stop and eat some honey before heading back home.
