The Boxster is the sports car

amongst roadsters. With its

powerful mid-mounted engine,

more than anything it delivers

pure driving enjoyment. Typically

Porsche.

Just like the products from

Porsche Tequipment. Each prod-

uct not only has to be visually

appealing, it also has to be tech-

nically compatible. That is why

all the model-specific products in

the Tequipment range have been

developed, tested and formulated

with the complete vehicle in mind.

All this takes place primarily at

the Porsche Development Centre

in Weissach. Every product under-

goes exhaustive testing through-

out its development to ensure

outstanding performance and

durability. This is because they

have to meet the highest stand-

ards of Porsche quality and

functionality.

One of the highlights of the range

is the SportDesign package.

This includes a front apron with

spoiler lips and an extending rear

spoiler that is visible even when

retracted. All of the parts have

wheels with less dedication thanhas been given to the Boxster itself.

The wheel was invented around

6,000 years ago, but developing it

to perfection has taken until more

recent times. The wheels in the

Porsche Tequipment range deliver

excellent performance and an

Summer tyres provide optimum

performance at ambient tempera-

tures above +7 C. Below this

point, the tyre compound begins

to harden and braking distances

are increased. We therefore recom-

mend that you fit winter t yres

during the colder months of the

it will continue to meet our high

standards for driving safety even

Audio and communication

High-tech equipment doesnt need

to have just a technical role. It can

be sporty as well.

The Boxster demonstrates engi-

neering excellence. Even in the

interior thanks to i ntelligent com-

munication equipment from Porsche

Tequipment. This has an important

role to play on the road by helping

a 3D map display and automatic

route recording.

Universal audio interface

For vehicles with PCM, the storage

compartment in the centre console

will contain three connections: one

for an iPod, one for a USB stick/

MP3-player and one as an AUX

interface for any chosen compatible

you reach your destination quickly

and safely. Sounds sporty, but

looks user-friendly. Thats not a

contradiction, its Porsche.

PCM including navigation module

and CD/DVD autochanger

The central information and com-

munication system with a 6.5-inch

touchscreen is easy to operate.

The radio has an FM dual tuner

with RDS function. The CD/DVD

drive plays CDs and audio DVDs

and is MP3 -compatible. Audio

playback of video DVDs is a lso

supported. The GPS navigation

system has a hard drive containing

map data for most European

countries. Other features include

dynamic route calculation,

audiosource. The iPodor USB

stick can be operated conveniently

via PCM, the multifunction steering

wheel or the voice control system.

For vehicles with the CDR audio

system, the centre console storage

compartment will contain an

AUX interface for connecting a

compatible audio source. The

volume is adjusted using the cont

on the CDR audio system, other

functions are operated using th

controls on the external audio

source itself.

Porsche Vehicle Tracking System

(PVTS)

Enables remote location of a stolen

vehicle in 27 European countries as

well as in Russia and South Africa.

Location is not continual, but occurs

only in the event of an alarm. A

silent alarm is automatically trig-

gered if the car is stolen or tam-

pered with, or after notification

from the vehicle owner. In addition

Almost all of the functions of

the PCM can be activated by voice

control. The system recognises

commands or figure sequences

to the extra security offered by this

tested using multiple simulated

thefts in 27 European countries

and Russia and the service has

been adapted to fully meet Porsche

quality requirements. Your Porsche

Centre will be happy to provide

The optional electronic logbook

enables automatic recording of

mileage, route distance, date and

time, starting point and destination

as part of every journey. Once

you have downloaded the logbooks

from the PCM via Bluetoothor

the optional USB interface, you can

evaluate the data on your home

PC using the software supplied.

Telephone module1

Available as an option, the GSM

quadband telephone module offers

convenience and excellent recep-

tion. By inserting a SIM card directly

into the PCMs integral SIM card

reader, calls can be made using

either the hands-free facility or the

optionally available cordless hand-

set. For even more convenience,

the Bluetoothcapability of a

mobile phone can be used to make

calls.
