Special Features

High-density (HD) dual-coil magnets arewound in two circles to increase thesurface area and density of the magneticfield. The higher density increases themagnetic force by over 100% ascompared to a single rectangular coilcommonly used in electromagnetic drills.

TEMPTEC™ Electromagnets ensure that themagnet does not overheat. When the magnet isswitched on for long periods of time, the coilscould overheat or even burn out. The TEMPTECfeature ensures that the power of the magnets isreduced when the drill motor is not active.Therefore, it won't build up heat.

The magnetic force of your magnet depends on a number of factors:• Thickness of material being drilled • Coatings or paint layers on material • Chips, dirt or grease between the magnet and the material

The SENSORTEC™ System measures whether the magnet has sufficient adhesiveforce on the material. An LED indicator on the switch panel warns you of insufficientmagnetic force (Red Light) or if the correct force is present (Green Light).

Many drills are offered with forwardand reverse capabilities, allowingdrilling and tapping with one unit.

Optional Power Assist provides delayed torque transfer, decreasing the load on both the cutter and machine. This allows the machine to maintain maximum RPM under full load. See page 23 for more information.

The cooling system on all our drills has been upgraded for easier use. The coolant reservoiris quickly and easily attached to the magnetic drill via a new magnet system. The coolantflow is measurable and easily monitored through a clear cylinder.
