INTER-CLUB MATCHES:

The ‘B’ team had an excellent finish to the

season on Friday August 2nd beating Eaton at

home 6/1. Final results : ‘A’ team came 4th from

group of 5, ‘B’ team 4th from group of 6 (I think,

I find the results difficult to read!). Business

ladies were pipped at the post by 1/2 point.

Many thanks to all you ladies who played in the

matches, we couldn’t do it without you!

The friendly team unfortunately lost their

match at Vale Royal Abbey last Monday (19th)

3/1. They have one more match to play on

Monday 9th September at Helsby Golf Club.

Pauline still needs 3 more players so if anyone is

available please let Pauline know ASAP

On Friday 30th August Lady Captain has arrange 10

holes + coffee & cake with the Portal Academy ladies

at the Premier course. Tee times are 9.30 – 10.20

and it would be nice to see as many ladies as possible

to encourage the PA ladies to come and join us. You

will find sign-up sheet on the notice board in locker

room.

There is a mixed friendly match at Hill Valley on

Sunday 22nd September. If you are interested in

playing please let Rhian know before 31st August so

that teams can be arranged (jones.rhian@icoud.com).

A gentle reminder – please take care when filling

in your scorecards, especially in a Stableford

competition, as it is sometimes quite difficult for

the ladies closing the comp to decipher. The

scores and the points should go in the separate

appropriate columns (see card on next page).

Sorry haven’t got much news this week as I have been away! No-one sending me any

recipes or cocktails! Maybe the cocktail season is over along with summer!

…and to make life easier for the ladies who close the comp, it would be nice if the cards could

be completed as below with the points in the correct column.

I know I’m repeating myself but this is going to be a

fantastic day, all we need is some sunshine! The list is still

up behind locker room door, you don’t have to play, just

come and be part of the day, the more the merrier.

…and just to wet your appetite, this is the trophy for the

Solheim match which Emma is donating!

Next year’s weekend away date is 14th & 15th June 2020.

Venue Morley Hayes, Derby

Cost is £140 per person, deposit required Friday 13th Sept 2019 of £30 per person.

I will arrange transport for anyone who does not have someone to drive them, please let me know.
