housing, offices and public equipment [São Paulo]vertical city, horitontal citydeveloped with: Felipe Barradas Marco Scriboni

The design of housing+offices tower, together with a public equip-ment is included in the double population density policy of the center of Sao Paulo and diversification of plot occupancy modes, as set out in the new Master Plan of São Paulo (2014) .The project responds to these demands by two separate buildings: the public service building establishing a horizontal landmark in the center of the vertical city; and the housing+offices building, which composes more directly with existing verticality of the surroundings. The space between the buildings set up a large scaled public gallery, which accentuates the recreational potential of the center of São Pau-lo, usually fordibben or neglicted.

Vivienda en red é estar conectado à cidade e a espaços públicos que ela ofereça.

É a casa e sua interdependência com outras casas e as pessoas ao seu redor.

A distinção morfológica proposta entre edifício vertical (habitação + serviços) e

horizontal (Poupatempo + galeria comercial) reflete a clareza formal e programática do

As varandas,

The housing building inserted into the larger project of Housing+Offices and public equipment in downtown São Paulo proposes a constructive method that sets the exis-tence of an external structure , responsible for the overall stability of the building, and a secondary structure that is characterized by multifunctional spatial modules.

The challenge of designing your own home in a 4x4x4m cube was the theme of this project, which aimed to synthetic analysis of the concept of living through the abdication of named spaces - kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc.The project was developed from the repertoire of domestic activities , which are grouped according to the degree of privacy . Developed the intimate and social centers, the activities are combined, in order to configure two different environments:

1. private, home to all sanitary and hygienic functions;2. social environment , which extends out to a possible external area.

Standing on top of the building and looking down the stair-case, you can see the villa at the left side, the perforated facade at your right and a small part of the landscape just in front of you. When you walk down the staircase towards the front door and entering the building you’ll discover a bit more of the landscape. If you walk down the stairs to the living room, inside the villa, you’ll discover even more of the landscape. In the end when you’re standing at the deck you’ll have a wide panoramic view over Jijona and the sur-rounding landscape.

The staircase is located at the south of the villa and serves as a buffer zone. In the summer , when the sun is at its highest point, the overhanging roof will block the sun from hitting the south facade. In the winter when the sun is at a lower point, the sunrays will reach the wall and heat it up.

The entrance to the villa is a staircase on the highest part of the site. One level down there is the front door to the building itself. Here are the flexible working spaces locat-ed. These rooms can be easily transformed in multiple guest rooms. At this floor is a bathroom located, which you can en-ter from two directions.

The master bedroom is located at the lowest level and orien-tated to the north side. It is directly connected to the liv-ing space, which consists of the living room and the kitchen. You can enter the deck from the living room by sliding open the panels and create an open space.

The villa will partly be built with traditional materials, which are found in the environment. Constructive walls will be made of concrete and finished with white stucco plaster. The roof will be made of ceramic tiles, like the houses in the area. Aluminum is used for the perforated facade at the south side as well as for the shutters at the east and north side of the villa.

FAU Archive ContestDigital Memory Paviliondeveloped with : Carolina Miki, Larissa Oliveira, Tadeu Baltar.

The proposed project for the FAUUSP Archive building reveals two elements that have long ago lost visibility in FAUUSP - the library projects and the stream that has been channelled to build Artigas building. Its materiality in steel and glass contrast with the exposed concrete texture FAU-USP, still proposing a permeable and accessible ground,

covered by a delicate marquise steel structure supported on slender metal columns. Associated with the pillars, interactive dashboards allow users’ interactions with the archive. The main block is comprised of two levels below the ground, both envel-oped by a glass skin that delimits the climate-controlled area, protected from the weather. Its entrance is marked by a walkway, the consultation room and the

reception, which controls access to the collection and removal of items. The first basement includes the ar-eas of collection and consultation, set back from the ground to ensure proper protection of the sunlight that environ-ment demand. In the second basement, set up the restoration conservation areas and technical processing, the area inside the glass block, and a café and pleasant environment for visitors.

housing in São Paulo downtown

[SãoPaulo]occupying the emptiness

Developing a housing project in a plot of 4 meters large and 72 meters deep in front of the São Paulo cathedral, that was the challenge proposed to the housing+office build-ings. Aligned with the proposed densification of São Paulo downtown, with the elimination of urban voids , the project proposes an internal square in the center of the block and with large common areas .The whole project consists of two buildings: the building facing the Cathedral Square , which can house services or studios, due to the increased visibility and proximity of noise sources , and the building facing Rua Quintino Bocayuva, at the other side of the plot, that dut to the different ur-ban configuration , home to the largest housing units.

requalification - Winterthur [Amsterdam]former office building into housing, Amsterdam

The commercial building Winterthur was at an advanced stage of deg-radation. The retrofit design of the building into housing use included the adaptation of comeriais units to the new use as well as

the criation of new spaces of public and condominium leisure. The com-ponents included in the design were thought to upcycling , which means that they can be disassembled and used analogously

in another buildings later. This construc-tive flexibility makes the building available to house other uses later on and offers the possibility of the user to configure the housing spaces according to his/her own needings.

lighting design_Caminho Niemeyer [Niterói]Bringing the beauty of Niemeyer curves from the darkness [expected to be implemented in 2016]

Bring the beauty ofNiemeyer curves for Niterói nightlifewas the main goal of this lighting installation project. The project includes projectors for gen-eral lighting of the buildings

and embedded luminaires in the floor of the central square . While during the day , the lights embedded in the floor little interfere in the landscape, at night they offer several possibilities of public space use, without affecting the

original architecture. Besides, allows the realization of public events also at night, which is a rare nowadays. The entire project was thought to omit the light sources so as to minimally interfere in the architecture.
