Our final word of the month under the ‘Building for Greatness’ theme is success. December is the month to reflect back on the success achieved in your Annique business in 2013 and it is the time to begin planning how to achieve success in your business in 2014.Begin by defining what ‘business success’ is to you and what you want from your business. The way in which you go about living your life and taking advantage of opportunities that come your way is the key to achieving success. Starting and running a business is one thing, but turning it into a successful, longstanding and lasting business is another.Have a business plan that will help you strive for greatness and focus on keeping your existing clients happy while finding and bringing in new clients. Business success requires an unwavering commitment to the client, understanding the client’s wants and needs, which will

allow you a greater opportunity to earn a loyal client base. Focus more on what you can do to improve the lives of your Consultants and clients and less on your income and profits.

It is important to keep an open mind when it comes to new ideas, other people’s ways of thinking and new technologies because times are constantly changing. Go to seminars and brush up on old skills while seeking to learn new skills that can prove to be useful.Anything that you want to achieve is going to take time and effort. If you really want something, then you will stop at nothing to make it happen. So if you haven’t achieved the success you desired in your business in 2013, then 2014 is the time to go out there to ‘Discover, Grow and Prosper’ to achieve business success. And remember, the real success lies in recruiting!

The next and all future orders for the new recruit will be at 25% discount, with a minimum of R1500 per order to qualify for the free delivery. Margie says Annique products produce resultsMargie Smit, Consultant from Bellville in the Western Cape, is grateful to Annique for helping her grow as a person, become financially independent and giving her good value for money products which achieve significant results.

Margie Smit, Consultant from Bellville in the Western Cape, who is 47 years young and who started using Annique products 29 years ago still gets excited about educating people about Annique and says hearing the amazing testimonials from Consultants and clients still gives her goose bumps.

This inspirational Consultant, who has built up a phenomenal team of 150 Consultants over the years, enjoys exercising and creating photobooks of her family vacations.

Margie started using Annique as a teenager, but only began selling the product in 1986 after her eldest son Stephan was born. In 1988, she went back to her full time job as a beauty therapist and stopped selling Annique products, but after her second son, Pierre, was born in 1990, she began selling the products again from her home-based salon.

“I realised that if I worked hard, I could earn more money with Annique than my fulltime work as a beauty therapist. After a few years I realised I needed a bigger premises, and when my husband Ferdi and I moved to a bigger house, we re-modeled the house to allow for a bigger salon,” she says.

Margie says she had a lot to prove in the beginning to herself and to her husband, because 23 years ago it was frowned upon to work from home. “It was not always easy but without Annique, I would have given up a long time ago,” she says.

Margie is the youngest of five children and grew up on a farm close to Durbanville. She studied Beauty Technology at the Cape Technikon and has been married for 28 years to Ferdi, who is a radar specialist for the Air Traffic and Navigation Services at Cape Town International Airport.

“We have two sons Stephan, who is 27 years old and a pilot at a flight school in Port Elizabeth who trains student pilots to get their commercial pilot licenses, and Pierre, who is 23 years old and is an advanced life support paramedic. Pierre is also studying for his Master’s Degree in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cape Town,” she says.

Margie’s wonderful advice to beginner Consultants• Most people stop selling Annique just before they have a breakthrough

– continue to persevere.• If you work for a big corporate company you need to be there from 8am

to 5pm to receive a salary and this is the effort you should be putting into your Annique business during the beginning phase. Nothing in life is free - you can’t expect a big salary if you only work for two hours a week.

• Be positive and helpful and always give your best service.• Your clients must know that you are trustworthy - then they will be your

client for life. • Be genuinely interested in them and not in the money you are going to

Margie says her first incentive trip was to Greece and she and her family will be visiting Greece for the sixth time next year. “Both boys love travelling and after my first incentive trip to Greece in 1995, we fell in love,” she says.

According to Margie, Dalene Celliers was excited about her first sale of a Peach Bloom Foundation and she and Elmien Goosen are such wonderful mentors. “The women that I have met through Annique have become more like friends than clients. We share a life of tears, joy and laughter, and age gracefully together because of our Annique products,” she says.

Margie also started a Lifestyle Slimming Club and her team won the Annique competition to lose weight in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Her team lost an amazing 505kg and she was sent on the trip to Greece, Thailand and Mauritius.

She says when you work for a big corporate company, you are one of many employees and have to deal with many frustrating issues such as overtime without pay. With Annique you plan your day according to your situation and you get paid for your extra effort.

Why do we need ANTIOXIDANTS?Antioxidants destroy free radicals. Free radicals are rogue oxygen molecules, that have lost an electron. That loss makes them unstable (in chemical terms, reactive), causing them to ‘steal’ neighbouring molecules’ electrons, causing them to operate like terrorists in the body. The damage caused by free radicals is called oxidation. Examples of oxidation are bananas turning brown when left unpeeled or the rusting of iron.

Excess free radicals in the body contribute to the development of oxidative stress, which plays a major role in the development of chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer.

Free radicals can also disrupt normal cell activities, and damage cell membranes, producing a chain reaction of destruction.
