solutions. We provide ICT support and services,
ensuring a reliable ICT environment for Logan City
Council that meets business needs. We are thought

The Information Services Branch provides Branch
Management, Service Management and Digital
Infrastructure services which are provided through 5
Teams and 2 Programs, namely:
Digital Infrastructure program
Coordinates the design and delivery of cost effective,
responsive and customer -focused information systems
and services to manage and deliver information support
of Council's service delivery and organisational priorities.
To provide Council with a solid, secure and effectively
supported ICT foundation to meet organisational
objectives, priorities and enable service delivery.
Service Management program
Enhances Council's ability to meet organisational
priorities and provide high quality services through the
application of appropriate information and
communication technology and services, in line with
Council's Corporate Plan.

JOB PURPOSE
The Enterprise Mobility Officer is responsible for providing ongoing administration, management and support of Council’s
Enterprise Mobility Strategy and Services.
EXTENT OF AUTHORITY
Delegations as detailed in Councils Delegation of Authority register.
This position exercises a degree of autonomy, manages priorities and monitors workflows. Can manage significant projects
and/or programs and works under limited supervision.

STRATEGY AND PLANNING PROCESS
Manage the implementation of programs for Digital Infrastructure staff to ensure that the objectives of the program are met. Evaluation of mobility and operating system software to ensure it meets the business requirements. Preparation of feasibility studies, functional requirements, specification, package acceptance criteria to meet an optimal business solution for Enterprise Mobility. Assist with the development and implementation of appropriate IT related plans, policies, procedures, methodologies and standards for Enterprise Mobility.
Performance Criteria
• Liaises effectively with stakeholders, internal staff and Vendors
• Broad knowledge of all corporate applications and council business requirements.
• Continuous improvement ideas and plans for mobile device solutions and processes.
DATA, INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE Provide skills in systems software development, i.e. setting up environments, recovery software, ensuring the resilience and security of mobility systems. Develop and maintain IT Enterprise Mobility policies and guidelines. Evaluate and research Enterprise Mobility products, systems, services and solutions. Adhere to prescribed change control procedures in all areas of responsibilities.
Performance Criteria
• Review process for updating enterprise mobility policies and guidelines.
• Review process for regular awareness of system administration techniques.
CUSTOMER AND MARKET FOCUS Address enterprise mobility problems, issues and reports brought forward by users, clients and auditors. Undertake software testing of packages and upgrades that are deployed for use on Councils Managed Operating Environment and Enterprise Mobility services. Assist with technical evaluations of new software packages to ensure compatibility with, and suitability to, Council's existing environment. Provide expert advice and support to other Information Services Branch staff as necessary. Provide expert technical support to Information Services Branch projects. Lead and project manage work teams (monitor the quality of vendor support).

Performance Criteria
• Effective communication with customers, clients and auditors when addressing security questions or tasks.
• Delivery on time and meeting deliverables and quality specifications
• Delivery of clear documentation and project reports while the project is being delivered and at the end of the project
PROCESSES, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Ensure systems are monitored according to the established Enterprise Mobility policies and guidelines. Develop and review mobility usage and system reports. Manage contractors and liaise with vendors / suppliers.
Performance Criteria
• Effective monitoring of Enterprise Mobility Device Management systems.
• Effective investigation and appropriate remedial action on Enterprise Mobility matters.
• Effective management and networking of contractors, vendors and suppliers.
ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE FOCUSED STRATEGIES Undertake strategic and operational analysis, design, maintenance and development of Council’s Enterprise Mobility requirements in line with Council’s Digital Strategy, policies and procedures. Manage risk exposure across the organisations enterprise mobility environment in accordance with the Council’s Policy – Risk Management Strategy. Provide strategic direction and support for the implementation of enterprise mobility services with Logan Council.

• Effective strategies and operational management on Enterprise Mobility.
• Effective management of risk exposure across ICT environment.
OTHER
Council’s Leadership and Performance Capability Framework will be used for performance management and development
purposes
Undertake any other duties as are reasonably within the limits of the employee's skills, competence and training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Substantial experience in the computer industry covering such areas as, IT systems support, customer support, systems design,
mobility systems and project management. Possess qualifications at tertiary level in Computing Science and/or Business
Computing is desirable.
Proven in depth understanding of Microsoft and other operating systems including associated mobility issues and mobility solutions including configuration, maintenance, deployment and fault resolution.
Extensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of mobility infrastructure in a large organisation.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage Information Technology professionals, to plan, implement, support and manage ICT infrastructure.
Demonstrated high level of ability and experience in providing a high quality of services in the following areas:
• ICT Infrastructure support
• Project management
• Operating system support
• Database management
• Change Control
Proven interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to communicate technical information to non-
technical personnel at all levels.
SUCCESS PROFILE
This position receives limited instructions that clearly state objectives. The Enterprise Mobility Officer is able to work under
limited direction and has the freedom to act within organisation mobility guidelines. The Enterprise Mobility Officer is able to
achieve objectives by conforming to instructions but with minimal guidance.
Proven practical ability to work with mobility device management solutions and a range of corporate applications.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with self-motivation and excellent time management skills.
Effectively works in a team environment for the delivery of products and services.
Deliver effective, concise, integrated and credible options to people management issues.
