Srl, celebrated some major achievements of 2015. The event, which was held on 8 October, was attended by part of the staff, customers and the international sales network of the company, as well as by all the mem-bers of the Bavelloni family currently active in the com-pany.The first award was gran-ted to Neptun’s agent of the Philippines, Janco Im-pex, for obtaining a signifi-cant number of sales in just a few months from the be-ginning of his collaboration with Neptun. FG Trading,

South Africa, received an award for the sale with the highest economic value in a single contract. A special award was recognized to distributor Matodi USA for having sold more than 100 machines in less than four years. Last but not least, the most important recognition went instead to the Austra-lian agent Overseas Glass Agencies, which sold the 500th machine produced by Neptun. This machine, a Rock 11 straight-line ed-ger, was purchased by the well-known company Au-stralian Glass Group, along with another Rock 11 and a LV Top 2600 washing ma-chine.

At the recently-held 2015 edition of

Vitrum, the Bavelloni family held a

special event with its staff, sales

network and customers to celebrate

some important major achievements

of 2015. Of course, the company

stand gave an overview of just

what the company has on offer for

glass processors, guaranteeing high

performance and long working life.

These are important figures, which illu-strate the sustained growth of this Bavel-loni Family company perfectly. Founded in 2008, with a product range consisting solely of horizontal and vertical washing machi-nes, it has since expanded its offerings in a few years to include, since the end of 2011, straight-line edgers, mitering machines and CNC vertical centers. It can therefore be said that this milestone was reached in less than five years of full operation. The approval levied by the machines on display at the fair in Milan this year confirms that this is the right route to follow: innovation based on proven technologies, targeted to meet the real needs of the glass market today, a well-balanced combination between costs and performance.

NEPTUN AT VITRUMNeptun Srl, a Bavelloni Family Company, was among the exhibitors at this years’ Vitrum, with a booth arrangement in appreciation of EXPO 2105 Milano. The artistic graphics and ‘street art’ arrangements of the machines highlighted the strengths of each version.Visitors could see two production lines on di-splay: our feature model, Rock 14-45, which represents our heritage combined with modern development in straight line edging machines, and the second generation of the vertical CNC working centres Quickline Series, with drilling, milling and washing.

QUICKLINEQuickline is made up of two units for processing shower screens, glass do-ors, glass partitioning, ba-lustrades, and glass splash backs. The first in the line is the Quickdrill, for dril-ling holes and countersin-king. The Quickmill is the second machine, for exe-cuting notches, hinge cut outs, and internal portho-les. Both machines work over the entire surface area, with unmatched speed and accuracy. The Open Top

structure allows ‘oversized’ glass to be processed. The Quickline Series is in-tended to benefit the market sector where a traditional horizontal CNC is both un-necessary and overly expen-sive, but where precision, speed and accuracy are pa-ramount. Each machine in the line can run independen-tly, or in line for maximum productivity. Clever com-puting through Quickflow means information can be separated for independent operation, or combined to run sequentially.

While the first series of Quickline was successful, the latest generation has proved even more effective with the implementation of new hardware and soft-ware, allowing integration into companies’ own pro-cesses. By connecting to data from ‘in house’ ERP systems, the client can ma-ximize the machine’s huge production potential. For example, a typical glass door can be processed (drilled, notched, and mil-led) in as little as 3½ mi-nutes. The latset Quickline

offers many advantages, due mainly to the flexible and easily customized pro-gramming system, thanks to the extensive library of over 1000 notches and cut-outs, adjustable through parametric functions. Fur-thermore, the possibility to import shapes from .dxf fi-les or directly from the offi-ce workstation, and the use of barcode to automatically recall the programs, pro-vide unlimited flexibility. Quickmill and Quickdrill have also been upgraded to incorporate a remote assi-

stance system. This not only allows ‘off site’ diagnosis and problem solving, but also ena-bles software and programme updates, even without the use of a local dedicated PC.The Quickline Series is an extremely well manufactured machine. All axes are dri-ven by brushless motors, while some of the components have been made lighter with the use of aluminium. External guards are a brushed stainless steel finish as standard. The modest investement easily returns the lowest cost per notch.

ROCK 14-45Rock 14-45 is the latest model of mitering ma-chines with 14 wheels. It can process a flat and arrissed edge, and a chamfer up to 45°, at the same time. Thick glass and heavy duty proces-sing is easily achieved in the shortest time. Poli-shing can be executed with liquid cerium for the best possible finish.Main Features:

metre or 1200 kg total weight can be processed.Rock 14-45 is the same as our complete Rock Series, and is manufactured from heavy duty cast iron, to gua-rantee the elimination of all vibrations. This structure also allows high speed processing and low noise levels, all with the highest quality finish.Additionally, each spindle is contained in its own cast iron housing, and connected to the motor by a belt and pulley, reducing any vibration on the glass to a minimum.

The patented conveyor pads are made from double Kevlar material, ensuring millions of linear metres of processing. Finally, we would like to highlight the patented ETS system. Edge To Shape (or Square) not only allows glass to be automatically squared to 90°, but it allows accurate shaping and sizing to set dimensions. This ETS method of managing shape and size is comparable to the traditional horizontal CNC.

Rock 14-45 is equipped

Screen. This enables auto-matic management of all functions, gives produc-tion statistics, and advises a chronological order for planned maintenance.
