Look at the sins noted in 7-10, and decide if these temptations died with them in the desert. Why did he remind them of these things? 2. In looking back at 2012, what would you have done differently in your walk with God? What are some things that you plan to change in 2013 and how do you plan to do it? 3. Read verse 13 carefully. How important are the things in our “rearview mirror,” and is there hope of distancing ourselves from them? How does Paul say this happens? 4. In reading verses 31-33, Paul has just mentioned how to deal with unbelievers. What things does he tell us to do in order to “move forward” with our Christian journeys? So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.

~ 1 Corinthians 10:31-33

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is

ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me

heavenward in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 3:13-14
