BUTTERFLIES-author unknown

I am sitting herewatching the butterfliesBeing slowly hypnotised

Empty of thoughtOnly aware of the five butterflies

Slowly circlingAround my room and

Around my brain.Worries have left me

As I lay hereWatching the butterflies

As they continue their flightOf intricate patterns

That binds me to themIn my current state of calm

slowly intertwiningwith the thoughts in my head.I'm busy now with other cares

But my mind often wishesto be watching the butterflies

Once more

Thinking Like A Butterfly-Mark Nepo

Monday I was told I was good.I felt relieved.

Tuesday I was ignored.I felt invisible.

Wednesday I was snapped at.I began to doubt myself.

On Thursday I was rejected. Now I was afraid.

On Saturday I was thankedfor being me. My soul relaxed.

On Sunday I was left alonetill the part of me that can’tbe influenced grew tired ofsubmitting and resisting.

Monday I was told I was good.By Tuesday I got off the wheel.

My Little Butterfly-Barbara Ann Rogers

Today a little butterfly flew by me. I thought to myself where have you been little butterfly.

You come into this world as a cocoon all by yourself and blossom into this beautiful butterfly and fly off to see the world.

What you don’t realize little butterfly as you flutter through your days is how you touch those around you in your soft gentle way.

You don’t even realize the wonder and awe you create around you. she fluttered her wings toward me as if she was waving good-by as she

headed towards the horizon. She looked very happy and content as she went on her way, as if to say

to me “Don’t worry I’ll be okay”. I was sad to see her go for she had touched my heart in such a way that

I knew my life would never be the same. She had left an imprint of all the beauty life has to offer.

I knew each time I looked at another butterfly or horizon I would remember our moment in time when it was only her and I.

I knew I would be a better person all because this little butterfly flew by me one bright sunny day.

The Butterfly-Alice Archer (Sewall) James I am not what I was yesterday,God knows my name.I am made in a smooth and beautiful way,And full of flame.

The color of corn are my pretty wings,My flower is blue.I kiss its topmost pearl, it swingsAnd I swing too.

I dance above the tawny grassIn the sunny air,So tantalized to have to passLove everywhere

O Earth, O Sky, you are mine to roamIn liberty.I am the soul and I have no home,Take care of me.

For double I drift through a double worldOf spirit and sense;I and my symbol together whirledFrom who knows whence?

There ’s a tiny weed, God knows what good,—It sits in the moss. Its wings are heavy and spotted with bloodAcross and across.

I sometimes settle a moment there,And I am so sweet,That what it lacks of the glad and fairI fill complete.

The little white moon was once like me;But her wings are one.Or perhaps they closëd together beAs she swings in the sun.

When the clovers close their three green wingsJust as I do,I creep to the primrose heart of things,And close mine, too.

And then wide opens the candid night,Serene and intense; For she has, instead of love and light,God’s confidence.

And I watch that other butterfly,The one-winged moon,Till, drunk with sweets in which I lie,I dream and swoon.

And then when I to three days grow,I find out pain. For swift there comes an ache,—I knowThat I am twain.

And nevermore can I be oneIn liberty.O Earth, O Sky, your use in done,Take care of me.

After Wings-Sarah Morgan Bryan Piatt

This was your butterfly, you see,His fine wings made him vain:The caterpillars crawl, but hePassed them in rich disdain.

My pretty boy says, “Let him beOnly a worm again!”

O child, when things have learned to wearWings once, they must be fain

To keep them always high and fair:Think of the creeping pain

Which even a butterfly must bearTo be a worm again!

To a butterflyI’ve watched you now a full half-hour;

Self-poised upon that yellow flowerAnd, little Butterfly! indeed

I know not if you sleep or feed. How motionless!–not frozen seas

More motionless! and thenWhat joy awaits you, when the breezeHath found you out among the trees,

And calls you forth again!This plot of orchard-ground is ours;

My trees they are, my Sister’s flowers;Here rest your wings when they are weary;

Here lodge as in a sanctuary!Come often to us, fear no wrong;

Sit near us on the bough! We’ll talk of sunshine and of song,

And summer days, when we were young;Sweet childish days, that were as long

As twenty days are now.Written in the orchard, Town-end, Grasmere.

Butterfly Kisses, Tim McGraw

There's two things I know for sureShe was sent here from heaven and she's Daddy's little girl

As I drop to my knees by her bed at nightShe talks to Jesus and I close my eyes

And I thank God for all of the joy in my lifeOh, but most of all for...

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayerStickin' little white flowers all up in her hair

"Walk beside the pony Daddy, it's my first rideI know the cake looks funny Daddy but I sure tried"

Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something rightTo deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night

Sweet sixteen todayAnd she's lookin' like her mamma a little more every day

One part woman, the other part girlTo perfume and make-up, from ribbons and curls

Trying her wings out in a great big worldBut I remember...

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayerStickin' little white flowers all up in her hair

You know how much I love you DaddyBut if you don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this timeOh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right

To deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses at nightOh the precious times

Oh, like the wind the years go byPrecious butterfly

Spread your wings and flyShe'll change her name today

and she'll make a promise and I'll give her awayStanding in the bride room just staring at her

She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not sure,I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl”

And she leaned over...and gave me...Butterfly kisses with her mamma there

Stickin' little white flowers all up in her hair"Walk me down the aisle Daddy, it's just about time

Does my wedding gown look pretty Daddy? Daddy don't cry"Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right

To deserve her love every morning and butterfly kissesI couldn't ask God for more

Man, this is what love isI know I've gotta let her go, but I'll always rememberEvery hug in the morning and butterfly kisses at night

Two butterflies went out at noon-Emily Dickinson (1830–86).

Two butterflies went out at noonAnd waltzed above a stream,

Then stepped straight through the firmamentAnd rested on a beam;

And then together bore awayUpon a shining sea,

Though never yet, in any port,Their coming mentioned be.If spoken by the distant bird,

If met in ether seaBy frigate or by merchantman,

Report was not to me.

Learn to Fly-Larry James

Like a butterfly emergesAnd unfolds its graceful wings,

A marriage grows and it developsWith the love each partner brings.

Your flight through life togetherIs what you make it, so reach high

Spread your wings and learn to soarAs if with wings of a butterfly

Share together life’s great adventureNow the two of you are one

Shower your lover with butterfly kissesYour infinite journey has just begun

Be a lover, friend and playmateLearn to listen, laugh and cry

God has given you your wings,But, you teach each other how to fly.

A Butterfly Hovers CloselyA butterfly hovers closely

And then quickly moves away,Swiftly going where so ever

Her heart may freely say.A butterfly lowers and rises

With the winds’s gusty breath,As if coupled within a dance

Of a loving tenderness. The butterfly only knows

How it feels to have wings,To kiss the petals of flowersIn such elegant flitterings. To have but one moment

Of such an exquisite flight,Would be like a dream

Where all seems so right.Author Unknown

Sympathy

Sympathy is sky blue.It tastes like warm hot chocolate in winter. It sounds like waves crashing on a beach shore. And smells like a summer night. It looks like a BIG, cozy sweater. And makes you feel like a butterfly.

Children of the Future

I believe in the children of the future, the ideas they have, the problem solving skills, the importance of them, the trust we need to have in them, the effect their words can have, Strength, Imagination, DeterminationBut the belief that we have no hopein them is ridiculous.

I believe in the idea of everyone is a genius,I believe in the creativity of others,I believe in that anything is possible,Trust, Comfort, Power

And I believe in that we can all achieve our goals in life.

Just because I’m niceDon’t think I’m annoying Don’t be mean to meStill try to be friendly

Just because I’m niceIt doesn’t mean I can’t be meanIt doesn’t give you the right to talk about meIt doesn’t stop me from being sad

Just because I’m niceStill ask me for helpCan’t wait until everyone understands

Just because I’m nice- treat all the way you want to be treated.

NICE
