Stained Glass Workshop (Dona Sawyer) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 8

Christmas Tree Ornament You will be assembling a stained glass ornament with copper foil and solder. Manual dexterity is required. Solder and soldering irons are hot. You will also be using caustic materials. No sandals or open-toe shoes should be worn.

Broom Making Workshop (Shawn Hoefer) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 9

Turkey Wing Broom Make a traditional-style turkey wing broom to hang next to your fireplace or wood stove, or just as decoration. These brooms are fully functional so you can also sweep your hearth (or other places) with it. Some manual dexterity is required and a small amount of strength and coordination. Wear comfortable clothes you won’t mind getting wet or dirty and closed-toe shoes.

Wire Jewelry Workshop (Linda Widmer) Minimum enrollment: 2 Maximum Enrollment: 8

Tree of Life Wire wrap a Tree of Life pendant in your choice of colors. Students must be able to use small hand tools. You will be sitting down during this class.

Embroidery – Jennifer Whitman Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 8 Create your own heirloom tea towel - You will be provided with a Osneburg 100% cotton tea towel (14”X22”). You can choose from two different patters. Embroidery thread, needle, & embroidery hoop will be provided for use. Beginners Welcome!

Corn Shuck Workshop (Paula Lane) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 8 Corn Shuck Doll/Angel or Wreath (not pictured) Students will make a doll suitable for a Christmas tree toper or just “for pretty” out of corn shucks, ribbon and a little bit of wool. By the time you’re through, you’ll be able to tie knots with your eyes closed! Students must have manual dexterity and be ready to tie lots of knots.

Candle-making Workshop (Traci Glover) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 10 Making Candles from Everyday Items This class is designed to give students the skills and knowledge they need to make candles with supplies that can be found around the home. Students will be working with paraffin heated to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Some manual dexterity is required.

Blacksmith Workshop Minimum enrollment: 2 Maximum Enrollment: 2 Push-n-Pull or Hook (Pat Thompson) You will make a twisted wall hook or a push pull with a long square twist. Bring good gloves and get ready to warm up!

Basket Weaving Workshop with Melody Conatser Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 6 Basket Make a basket with or without a handle. You can also add a band of color to your basket. Various colors will be available. Hands may stiffen during this workshop but we will work at each student’s pace.

Paper Crafting Workshop (Troy Odom) Minimum enrollment: 1 Maximum Enrollment: 6 Stamped greeting cards, gift tags, bags and boxes In this class you will learn about various stamping techniques, embossing, inks and their uses. Paper is provided in your packet for practice. Create cards, envelopes, bookmarks, gift tags or bags, stationery, or other items. We will also make handmade paper using recycled materials.

Apothecary Workshop (Linda Odom) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 5 Soaps and salts Students will be making a bunny soap holder, felted soap and bath salts. Students must be able to stand for long periods of time. Students will also be working in an enclosed space that has a lot of different scents.

Beginning Leather Crafting Workshop (Janice Clark) Minimum enrollment: 1 Maximum Enrollment: 5 Wearable “Ozark Folk Center” pendant During this workshop you will learn the basics of leather stamping and tooling, staining and double-loop edge braiding. All materials and tools will be provided. Take-home instructions along with materials and a tools list will be also be provided.

Clothespin Doll Class (Summer Woodsong) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum enrollment: 6 Turn old fashioned wooden clothespins into fun dolls. You will bring together wooden dowel ends, old fashioned clothes pins and chenille stems to create a small attractive doll that can be decorative, whimsical or even an illustration for family.

Make a Ozark Mountain Rag Doll Minimum enrollment: 2 Maximum Enrollment: 8 Rag Dolls from scraps with Nancy Snyder Use basic “left over” scrap material from other projects and make a beautiful old fashioned rag doll from scratch! All materials are provided,

Weave a small bag on a cardboard loom Minimum enrollment: 2 Maximum Enrollment: 12 Weaving with Rusti Barger Learn the basic skills of weaving, using basic items found in most households and create a small bag that can be a cell phone case, coin pouch or…. You can take the skills learned in this class on to weave other projects such as pot holders, placemats, a glasses case, etc.

Old Timey Santa (Doris Fountain) Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 10 Antique Quilt Star Santa Sewing skills and manual dexterity is required. Old World Santa Class is available as a Friday extra class. Cost is $60.

Experi-Mints Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 12 Hands on workshop with Herbalist Tina Marie Wilcox Participants will learn about the history and culture of the genus, Mentha and enjoy the sensational fragrance of several varieties while sipping a cold infusion of spearmint. The herbs will be experienced in fresh and dry form on site. Each person will take home an experi-mint project and a whole bunch of ideas for utilizing this ancient herb.

Create Your Own Herbal Cards for the Holidays Minimum enrollment: 3 Maximum Enrollment: 12 Hands on workshop with Herbalist Susan Belsinger In this workshop, you will get to use some of these pressed herbs, flowers and leaves gathered from her garden as well as the Heritage Herb Garden. Susan will guide you through the process using cardstock, wax paper, dried botanicals, glue, metallic thread and an iron. Each participant will design and collage a series of 10, one-of-a-kind herbal art notecards.

Create your own Homemade Bandbox Minimum enrollment: 2 Maximum Enrollment: 10 Hands on workshop with Jessica Wingler Please join me in creating your very own bandbox. A miniature hat box from the Victorian era. Come learn the history of bandboxes as you craft your own keepsake. Store potpourri, body powder, and even small jewelry in these little treasures!
