FAMOUS LOGO REDESIGNTHE BRIEF:
Cadbury recently spent over £1million to rebrand their famous logo. The design
was highly critiqued for it’s similarity to the original design at such a high cost.
I would like you to consider your favourite brands and how they communicate
with their audience/ consumer.
Your task is to create a mood board with mind maps based on your favourite 3
brands. You could do this using PowerPoint or buy printing and sticking images
onto paper.
If you are completing the task on PowerPoint you should use at least 1 slide per
brand.
If you are completing the task on paper you should use at least 1 piece of
paper per brand.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: • Think about the colours which represent the brand- how are these different
or similar to competitive brands?
• Consider the text and the font used; are these simplistic, modern, bold,
decorative or traditional?
• Consider the shapes involved in the logo; are they symbolic (for example
Micky Mouse ears in the Disney Channel logo)? Do they enclose text?
YOU NEED TO ENSURE YOU KEEP YOUR ART & TECH WORK SAFE SO THAT YOU CAN
RETURN YOUR WORK TO YOUR TEACHER-

1886 – What’s in a name?
John S Pemberton finalises the formula
for his new drink, and his partner, Frank
M Robinson, suggests the name Coca-
Cola, believing that “the two Cs would
look well in advertising”. He experiments
with writing the company’s name in
Spencerian script – a popular writing
style back then.2015- We launch our "one
brand" strategy,
which unites Coca-Cola,
Diet Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola
Zero, and Coca-Cola Life
under the iconic Coca-Cola
brand. This is celebrated
through our “Taste the
Feeling" campaign.
