Negative pressure encapsulationFor optimum contaminationprotection: should a leak occurin the sealing system, allparticles are returned to thepressure chamber and caughtby the filters.

Clean air in the workchamber supplyThe air supply filter which isprotected against heat orirradiation damage by laminatorgrid sheet, circulates clean airthroughout the whole workarea. Clean Room Class A(acc. to EC guide) or class 100(acc. to Fed. Std. 209) areeasily superseeded in safework area inside.

Ease of cleaningWith the HERAsafe, cleaningand disinfecting is a fast andeasy task: all surface areas within the work space aremade from smooth, easy toclean materials. The side windows are madefrom scratch, acid and UV-lightresistant safety glass, the worksurfaces and the water trayfrom stainless steel. A furtheradvantage: rounded cornersinside the work chamber.

Individual application optionsHERAsafe HS models are alsoavailable with the followingwork chamber widths: 90, 120, 150 and 180 cm.

Award winningThe HERAsafe HSP range isadditionally equipped with a H 14 prefilter which is equivalent to the safety cabinetclass H 14. Accordingly, thissafety cabinet is ideal for thepreparation of cytostatics.

A modular cartridge filter ispositioned in front of the supplyand exhaust air filter. Re-con-tamination is practically impossible. The prefilter canbe changed with a minimumcontamination risk while thesafety cabinet is in operation.

This high performance aircirculation concept has beenhonoured with the 1996 Envi-ronment Clinic Award, whichawards the prevention of largevolume, dangerous filter waste.

The German Head of FederalAdministration, Darmstadt,recommends the concept ofHERAsafe for the operationwith air recirculation in cyto-toxic drug laboratories.
