Aim: At the end of the class SWBAT describe how the weather look like and what piece of clothes should we wear, in written. Learning Outcome: Ss describe the weather and clothes that people wear in different seasons REF to Planes y Programas: Exponent: “what’s the weather like?” “It’s sunny” “what kind of clothe do you wear in…? “you wear jeans, trainers…” Target Language: Use: this expresions are used when you are advicing someone how he/she should dress depending on the season. Meaning: the adjectives related to weather are used to describe how is the day. Form: wh Q. word+ article+ noun+like? Subject (it)+ verb to be+ adjective. CCQs: (showing images) Is it raining or is it windy? Is it sunny or is it a rainbow? Is it snowing or is it a thunderstorm?

Assumed knowledge: - Simple present form. - Season’s names.

Anticipated problems: Ss may have problems with the pronunciation of some adjectives or nouns: cloudy /ˈklaʊdɪ/, thunderstorm /ˈθʌndəstɔːm/, rainbow /ˈreɪnbəʊ/. ... and solutions Model and ask the students to repeat several times (chorally, individually) in order to check pronunciation.

T gives to the Ss a worsheet about the weather. T states the timing. T corrects the Ss answers and provide the certain feedback and corrections. T projects on the board a map with Chile’s forecast. T sticks pictures of diferent kind of weather on the map. The T writes a model sentence on the board. T presents a ppt presentation related to clothes. T asks CCQs to check understanding. T gives to Ss a worksheet based on clothes.

Hello Ss good morning, how was your weekend? What about Friday afternoon, were you dress with the apropriate clothes? Did you go out on Friday night despite the rain? We had different types of weather this weekend. So now we are going to talk a bit more about weather conditions, you have to repeat after me. Is it raining or is it windy? Is it sunny or is it a rainbow? Is it snowing or is it a thunderstorm? Now, we will complete this worksheet weather conditions, we will do all together the first activity. Now you have 5 minutes to complete the rest. Are you ready to check? So now, we are going to check your answers. Ss name.. Can you tell me the number () ? As you can see this is the country’s map and there are some cities that have pictures of the weather, now you will be the weather forecasters, in pairs you have to asks what’s the weather like in (city’s name) and your classmate has to answer then you will change your role. You have 5 minutes to do it. Now that you now the dIfferents kind of weather we will check the clothes that we wear depending on the seasons. Do we wear trainers to run? Do we wear shorts in winter? Do we wear raincoats when it is sunny? In this activity there is a picture with 6 people with their names below them with different kinds of clothes, you have to write a sentence for each one mentioning what clothes they wear. You have 5 minutes to do it.

In the second activity you have 6 sentences related to the same picture, but this time you have to correct them writing the name of the clothes that they really are wearing. You have 5 minutes to do it then we will check. Mr. … tell me what do we learn today, and Mrs. …. What else did you learn.
