UNIQUE INGREDIENTS FOR UNIQUE FORMULATIONSPINE POLLENPine pollen is a tonic medicine that has an adaptogenic effect on the body; stabilizing physiological process and promoting homeostasis. Pine pollen contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, E, D and folic acid. Its host of minerals include calcium, copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, molybdenum, phosphorous, potassium, selenium, silicon, sodium and zinc. As well as its vast array of nutrients, pine pollen also contains all eight essential amino acids, therefore is it a complete protein. Pine pollen provides health benefits such as immune support, anti-ageing, reduces fatigue, regulates metabolism, lowers blood pressure and blood glucose levels and protects the liver.

AUSTRALIAN MAHOGANY Khaya senegalensis is a species of tree that is native to Africa. The tree has also been introduced to Northern Australia. Due to it’s rich profile of active constituents, the bark of the tree tends to be what was used in traditional African medicine, it is also the plant part used to create our herbal glycetract. Research has shown promising results against a myriad of diseases and health conditions such as; cancer, diarrhoea, bacterial infections, parasite infestations and diabetes. Khaya senegalensis may be particularly beneficial as a complimentary therapy for cancer patients, due to it’s anti-proliferative and anti-inflammatory properties.

POLYGONUM In traditional medicine the various species of Polygonum were given for the treatment of inflammation, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, menorrhagia, hemorrhoids, helminthiasis and CNS disorders. Polygonum is a rich source of flavonoids and phenolic compounds, both of these chemical constituent groups are known to exert antioxidant, antitumor and free radical scavenging activities. Research has shown that Polygonum may be beneficial for many chronic conditions due to it’s antioxidant capacity, it may help to reduce body weight in obese clients and it may help to enhance wound healing due to it’s ability to stimulate wound closure.

TASMANIAN PEPPERBERRY Tasmannia lanceolata (T. lanceolate) is a shrub which is endemic to the woodlands and cool temperate rainforests of Tasmania and the south-eastern region of the Australian mainland. Traditionally Tasmannia lanceolata was used by Australian Aborigines to treat stomach disorders and to heal skin complaints. European colonists also recognised the therapeutic potential of Tasmannia lanceolata and the bark was used as a common substitute for other herbal remedies and to treat scurvy due to its high anti-oxidant content. Polygodial is the active component in Tasmannia lanceolata. Studies have reported the therapeutic properties of polygodial, including its anti-bacterial, antifungal, anti-hyperalgesia, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and vaso-relaxation activities. Research has found that Polygodial is effective against the gastro-intestinal bacteria Giardia duodenalis, and it also displays significant antifungal activity.

BRANCH CHAIN AMINO ACIDS (BCAA’s)

The branched-chain amino acids (BCAA’s) – leucine, isoleucine, and valine – are unique among amino acids in that they are primarily metabolised extrahepatically in

skeletal muscle.BCAA’s are the only three amino acids to possess a branched side chain. They are all

essential amino acids and collectively form the largest pool of essential amino acids in

the bodily pool (35 – 40%) and are present in high levels (14 – 18%) in muscle tissue.BCAA’s improve nitrogen retention and protein synthesis.BCAA’s serve an important role in the brain in regulating nitrogen metabolism and

glutamine synthesis. BCAA readily pass across the blood-brain barrier in an exchange

with glutamine and are the major external source of nitrogen for the formation of

glutamate and glutamine in the brain.BCAA’s supplementation has been shown to improve exercise and mental performance.Supplementing with BCAA’s decreases protein degradation in the muscles.BCAA’s supplementation increases fat loss which is associated with improvements in

aerobic exercise.May improve liver health and reduce the chance of kidney stones.

Moderate Interactions: Levodopa, Anti-diabetic drugs.Minor Interactions: Diazoxide, Corticosteroids, Thyroid hormone.Pregnancy and breastfeeding: There is not enough reliable information about the safety of

taking BCAA’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
