Possibilities UnlimitedThere are more than 170 registered
organizations that represent the vast and
varied interests of our students. The University
boasts organizations ranging from honor
societies, volunteer groups and special interest
clubs. Students are always encouraged to
start their own organizations if they want to
gather with other like-minded students! These
organizations make up the social, political
and economical structure of the university. If
an organization does not exist to match the
student’s interest, students are encouraged to
form the organization.
At PVAMU, students activities are designed
to supplement the classroom experience. The
SPIT Knowledge program draws celebrities and
world-renown speakers to the university who
enlighten and educate students about current
events.
Traditional student engagement activities,
including our award winning Homecoming,
Springfest, Student Leadership programs and
the annual Miss and Mr. PVAMU pageants, give
students plenty to do throughout the academic
year.
Active students are welcome to exercise and
have fun at our new, state-of-the-art Recreation
Center. The Student Recreation Center includes
an indoor pool, climbing wall, group exercise
studios, wellness suite, cooking demonstration
kitchen, game room, cardio equipment, weight
room, activity courts for badminton, volleyball
and basketball, indoor track and stretching
area, and outdoor intramural and Club Sports
fields.
The Johnson-Phillip All Faiths Chapel
offers religious resources for students of all
denominations.
