SERMONS
AM - Our Father... (Matthew 6:9-13) PM - “Hallowed Be Your Name…” (Luke 11:1-4)
Good morning and welcome to the worship assembly of the Germantown church of Christ. We gather to praise God and remember the death, burial, resurrection, ascension and enthronement of Jesus the Christ. With that as our objec-tive, we are so glad you came to participate with us. If you’ve made a resolution to worship every Lord’s Day with us – wonderful! As was announced by our spiritual shepherds last week, we are embarking together on a Season of Prayer, a time when we join hearts and minds as we learn more about God and focus on building each other up through prayer. God has revealed His will for us – now we want to work with God to live His will out each day. As we continue to grow spiritually – through prayer, study, work and fellowship - we will be transformed into what God intends for us to be. I’m excited to see how that will happen. I’m glad we’re walking together in this growth process. Going on our Holy Land trip? There will be a meeting next Sunday afternoon (Jan. 19) at 4:30 pm in the library. Important information about the trip itself – along with materials that will help you prepare for the trip will be dis-tributed. Still want to go? Talk to me. I’ve talked with several groups just returning – and with one group that left this past week – all good reports!

FROM YOUR SHEPHERDS Sunday January 5, 2020 your shepherds stood before the con-
gregation and requested that you join in with them in a spe-
cial season of intentional and unified prayer. Although Ger-
mantown is known for being a praying church, during the year
of 2020, the shepherds asked that the entire congregation ask
God for guidance. Guidance to direct us in our individual and
collective worship, relationships and ministries; to armor us in
our spiritual warfare against the deception of Satan; and to
shower us in love, grace, and mercy which we may display to
all people. Colossians 1:9 shows how Paul prayed for that
church for God to fill them with the knowledge of His will in
all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:17 Paul
prayed that God would give them the Spirit of wisdom and of
revelation in the knowledge of Him. Join us in our emphasis
on prayer during 2020 with these things in mind.
SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to Vivian Morris and family on the
passing of her brother, Earnest Gunn. Services were this past

THANK YOU
Dear church family,
On behalf of my family and myself we would like to express our
deep appreciation for all the calls, visits, food, cards, and love you
have expressed to us in our loss of Autumn. Your support means
more than you know. It is so nice to have a loving church family
to lean on in times of need. Please continue to pray for us as we
figure out our new normal without Autumn.
In Him,
Mickey, Angelia, Nolan Weeks
