DAYS 1 – 4 • Meals: BMunich, GERMANY Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski

Experience the heart of old Munich, the Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, the Residenz and lively Viktualienmarkt. Visit Alte Pinakothek, Nymphenburg Palace, Olympiapark, and BMW World. Venture south to Bavaria's Lake Chiemsee and Herrenchiemsee Palace, with tributes to Versailles. See the fairytale setting of King Ludwig II's Neuschwanstein Castle and nearby Linderhof Palace; if time allows visit Oberammergau of woodworking and Passion Play fame.

DAYS 5 – 6 • Meals: BNuremburg / Dresden Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski

Depart Munich on a drive to Nuremburg to explore the picturesque Old Town, including the large market square, the Hauptmarkt, before departing Bavaria to Dresden. Discover the capital of Saxony, rebuilt after WWII back to its Baroque glory. View the cathedral, the old town and the historic Green Vault. Tour the opera house, see the only surviving 400-year-old city gate and visit the Zwinger festival palace.

DAYS 7 - 11 • Meals: BMeissen / Berlin / Potsdam / Homeward Bound Hotel Adlon Kempinski

As you depart Dresden, stop in Meissen for a private tour of the renown Meissen Porcelain Manufactory and learn about its intriguing history. In Berlin, see Check Point Charlie and Brandenburg Gate as well as other sites in east Berlin. Visit the Holocaust Museum and the Reichstag building, the seat of government, rebuilt with a spectacular glass cupola. Spend time at Museum Island, a unique collection of five important museums, the Alte, the Neue, Alte Nationalgalere, Bodemuseum, and Pergamon Museum.

Drive down Kurfurstendamm Avenue, the shopping and entertainment district; visit Potsdamer Platz and the East Side Gallery, along what was the Berlin Wall. Tour Charlottenburg Palace and visit the Berggruen Museum. Drive to the nearby regional capital of Potsdam, once capital of Prussia and the German Empire. Tour the magnificent Sanssouci Palace, summer palace of Fredrick the Great, and Ceilienhof Palace, the last palace built by the Hohenzollern family. Stop in the Grunewald Forest to see the gardens of the Liebermann Villa. On Day 11 you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
