Immigration
PlacementExams• These will help us assign you classes• These cannot hurt you• Math Placement Test• May also need ALEKS, depending on score• Chemistry Diagnostic Test
English Proficiency Exam (EPE)• Undergraduate Students:
• 30‐minute writing test (essay)• 45‐minute reading test (multiple choice)• 30‐minute listening and note‐taking test (multiple choice)
• 15‐minute oral interview
• Graduate Students:• 30‐minute writing test (essay)• 45‐minute reading test (multiple choice)• 15‐minute oral interview
Immunization information• Send medical history to nurses at Iowa
• On‐campus immunization clinic after orientation
• If under 18, minor consent form
Submit transcripts• Proof that you completed high school• Must be sent via post
Upload passport/visa• Mobile phone pictures are fine!
• Must be under 10MB
Courses for international students
• Required! (now called: Success at Iowa)
Orientation• This is required!
• Not available until mid‐July
• Get orientation schedule online and through email
• Introduction to life in Iowa City
