Precision Pearl Inc. specializes in machine production runs of custom designs and logos in mother-of-pearl and abalone. Our clients are high-end luthiers and manufacturers with annual production totals of 5 to 20,000 instruments per year. Precision Pearl Inc. also supplies inlays to other industries including furniture and interior design. We offer many of the popular inlay designs available from stock, such as blocks, strips, rosettes, tree of life, snowflakes, and torch inlay. We provide expert design, programming and inlay services that are directed towards cus-tomers’ proprietary designs. In addition to the inlay service we slot, radius and profile fingerboard veneers, profile headstock veneers and fixture necks for inlaying.

Custom Production Inlay Ordering
• The minimum order for computer made production inlays is 1 run. Logos usually yield 32 or 48 depending on the size and length of cut. Fingerboard inlays run 18, 12, or 6. Peghead inlays run 9, 18 or 36.
• The actual quantity shipped and charged will be the RUN TOTAL unless you have a purchase order for monthly shipments
• Phenolic or lexan pin router templates are available. • Peghead cavities are cut 9 or 18 at a time. Inlaid and sanded pegheads can be ordered as a
full run or in quantities of 9 with subsequent batches of peghead veneers routed until all inlays are used. Batches of veneers require a monthly purchase order.
• Inlaid fingerboards run in multiples of 6. All fingerboard runs less than 6 will be charged an additional 20%.
• Purchase orders can be fax, e-mailed or enclosed with parts. • Peghead veneers can be profiled to shape or only locating holes cut. I will drill fingerboards
for my standard locating holes. • Peghead veneers and fingerboards can be supplied by the client and must be all the same
thickness. Peghead veneers should be at least .070” thick. No 1/16” fibreboard plese. • Please pencil instructions on all fingerboard and peghead veneers sent. • All new jobs requiring CAD drawing and setup will have a 1 time programming fee at the
rate of $60.00 / hr. • Customer’s artwork is requested in DXF format delivered via e-mail. • All initial orders must be pre-paid by credit card. • Jobs are priced by length of cut, number of pieces, number of corners and material and are
figured from the finished CAD drawing. • Typical prices for script logos are $10-$16 loose or $18-$24 inlaid (wood not included in
inlaid price). • Prices are subject to change without notice. • All original designs by Precision pearl Inc. and Tom Ellis are the property of Tom Ellis and
are usually available for licensing of use. The actual inlays does not constitute sale of copyright
