The increase in the number of electronic devices manufactured may lead to may pollute the environment due to Man’s greater needs for such devices to complete their everyday work in 2030. A study done by Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition in 2000 showed that the toxic chemicals used to make semiconductors, circuit boards etc, can cause pollution. Disposal of such information technologies also create environmental hazards as they burden landfills.

The use of PortAll, the integrated learning system may lead to a decline in the standard of education due to the widespread use of the system by teachers to teach. The future scene states that many problems with the rapid advancement of technology stem from Man’s reliance on electronic gadgets and systems to perform simple tasks in life.

In what ways, can we minimise the ill-effects caused by over reliance of electronic gadgets so that we can make full use of it as a tool to aid mankind in 2030 and beyond.
